We join you in thanking our Heavenly Father for His blessings and we stand with you in prayer for your son, lifting him up for healing physically, mentally and spiritually.
We know our God is the great healer and protector, and He desires to give His children peace and rest. We take comfort in His promises for your son. For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. We also cling to the promise that in peace we will both lay ourselves down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make us live in safety Psalm 4:8. And we remember that in nothing we should be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let our requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and our thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.
We pray together for him now.
Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we thank You for Your mercy and love toward this family. We ask for Your healing touch upon this dear son. Lord, restore health to him and heal him of his wounds as You have promised Jeremiah 30:17, and heal him for by Your wounds we are healed Isaiah 53:5. We ask You to touch his body, his mind, and his spirit. In the name of Jesus we rebuke and cast out any spirit of psychosis, confusion and fear that would torment him, and we command it to leave and not return, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. Fill him instead with Your Holy Spirit, with power and love and a sound mind. Bless him with peaceful, uninterrupted sleep, let him lie down in Your peace and wake refreshed. Protect him from all harm and evil, put Your angels in charge of him to guard him in all his ways Psalm 91:11, and let no weapon formed against him prosper. Comfort him with Your presence and let Your perfect peace guard his heart. Strengthen his family as they care for him, give them wisdom, endurance and faith. We ask that You draw him ever closer to You, that he may know Your love and walk in wholeness. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our only Savior and mediator, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to bring every care to Him, for He cares for you 1 Peter 5:7, and to keep praying without ceasing. Do not be afraid, for He says, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. We also encourage you to remain connected to a Bible believing church family for support and prayer, and to seek wise and godly counsel including trusted medical and pastoral help as you walk through this trial, trusting that God works through many means to bring healing and restoration. We are trusting with you that the Lord who guards and keeps His children will bring peace to his mind, healing to his body and spirit, and sweet rest in the night.
