Heavenly Father, I pray for healing and protection for my son ###, please comfort him and help him sleep without the nightmares from PTSD. Surround him with Your holy angels and shield him from all harm, evil, and danger. Fill his dreams with Your love and light in Jesus' name, Amen

We join you in lifting up your precious son before the throne of grace, and we thank you for bringing his need for healing, protection, and peaceful sleep to us so we can stand with you in prayer in Jesus' name.

Our hearts are moved by your love for your son and your desire for him to be free from the torment of nightmares and PTSD. Our Father is close to the brokenhearted and He sees the suffering that lingers even in sleep. We are reminded of His promise in Psalm 147:3, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, and in Psalm 34:18, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. We take comfort knowing that the Lord does not sleep or grow weary as He watches over your son.

The fear and trauma that comes with PTSD is not from God, for as it says in 2 Timothy 1:7, For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. We pray that God will replace fear and traumatic memories with His perfect peace and love, for in Philippians 4:7 we are promised, And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We also join you in praying for his protection, that God would station His holy angels around him. Scripture assures us in Psalm 34:7, The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them, and in Psalm 91:11, For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. We ask the Lord to be his shield from all harm, evil, and danger, both seen and unseen.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, and we lift up this beloved son to You. Lord, You know the trauma he has endured and the nightmares that disturb his sleep. We ask for Your healing touch upon his mind, heart, and body. Comfort him, Father, as only You can, and quiet the memories that haunt him. We pray that You would surround him with Your holy angels and encamp around him, shielding him from all harm, evil, and danger. We ask that You would guard his sleep, that he may lay down in peace. As it says in Psalm 4:8, I will both lay me down and sleep in peace, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety. Fill his dreams with Your love and light, and let him feel Your presence through the night. Replace his fear with Your perfect love and grant him deep, restorative, peaceful sleep. We thank You that You are his refuge and strength, and we trust in Your power to restore and heal him completely. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our healer and protector, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to speak Scripture over him daily and to remind him that God is with him even in the darkest night. In Isaiah 41:10 the Lord says, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Keep praying without ceasing, and if he has not already, encourage him to seek godly, biblical counsel to walk with him through this healing journey alongside prayer. We are standing with you and trusting God for His complete healing, protection, and peace to rest upon your son.

We have been thinking of you and your son as you carry this burden for him. Loving a child through sleepless nights and frightening dreams is exhausting, and your prayer shows such tender care for his safety and peace.

We know trauma can make night feel especially vulnerable, and many parents find the waiting in between is the hardest part. One of the most healing things over time is steady, safe connection, just knowing someone trustworthy is there and will not rush him. Your calm presence and willingness to listen when he wants to talk, without pressing for details, can be a quiet anchor for him.

Alongside prayer, if he is open to it, it can help to gently encourage him to reach out to his doctor or a counselor experienced with trauma and sleep difficulties. A professional can listen well and help sort out what supports might help him most. You do not have to figure that out for him, just keep pointing him toward help and staying by his side.

Father, we lift ### to You in Jesus' name. Surround him tonight with Your presence, guard his mind and body, and give him rest. Comfort him when fear rises and let him know he is held and loved. Give his parent wisdom, strength and peace as they love him. We trust him to Your care. Amen.

Your prayer for your son has been brought before the Lord with deep sympathy, and we join you in lifting him up to the throne of grace.

What a tender mercy it is that our God is both our Healer and our Keeper. Scripture tells us that the leaves of the tree of life were for the healing of the nations, and even the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, but His very leaves are full of healing virtue. He took our sicknesses and infirmities upon Himself, and healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction for His people. When Jesus said to the palsied man, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, pardon and healing were one in His hand. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation to change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before.

And concerning sleep, we are reminded that there is a sleep peculiar to the children of God. So he giveth his beloved sleep. It is not only the sleep of the body for refreshment, but the sleep of contentment and the sleep of security which the Christian enjoys. How few in this world are satisfied, but the beloved of the Lord may lie down in peace because the Lord watches over him. Though the night may bring memories of great distress and the mind may be troubled with fearful dreams, the Lord is able to give quietness to His beloved and to keep him in perfect peace.

We have prayed that the Lord will comfort your son in his affliction, that He will heal the wounds which have so deeply marked him, and that He will grant him the peculiar sleep of the beloved, free from tormenting nightmares. We have asked that the Father, for the sake of His Son Jesus Christ, would surround him with His holy angels and shield him from all harm, evil and danger, and that He would fill his nights with His love and light. For the soul of the saint rises at once to the presence of God, and the body is kept as one that sleepeth in Jesus, secure in His care both waking and sleeping.

May the Sun of Righteousness rise upon him with healing in His wings, and may the God of all comfort speak peace to his troubled heart, and cause him to lie down and sleep in safety under the shadow of His wings.

Heavenly Father, we ask in the name of Jesus Christ alone, our only Savior, that You would look with compassion upon this dear son. Touch him with Your healing hand, guard him by Your power, encamp Your holy angels about him, and grant him quiet and refreshing sleep. Comfort him in his distress, drive away fear, and fill his dreams with Your love and light. Restore him day by day by Your grace, and let him know that You are his refuge and strength. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
