Healing, protection, sleep

We join you in bringing your son before the heavenly Father, and we thank you for entrusting this burden to prayer.
The Lord hears the cries of a parent for a child, and He is able to do what we ask. As the Scripture says, He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, and He will not suffer your foot to be moved when you stand steadfast in Him. Even while we sleep, He watches. Even in the night, He is present to keep and to comfort.
We pray with you for your son, that God would touch him in body, mind and spirit, that He would grant him a sound mind and peaceful sleep, that He would drive away every evil influence and every disturbance of thought, and surround him with protection from all harm. We ask that the Lord would quiet his heart, guard his mind in Christ Jesus, and fill him with the peace that comes from knowing He is near. We ask this not by our own merit, but through Jesus Christ alone, who is our only hope and our only Savior, and who has shown that His love has power to heal when we come to Him in faith, believing that He is able to do this.
Continue to watch and to be sober in prayer, to guard your heart and his, and to stand firm in the promises of God. The sleep that God gives to His children is a gift of rest, not the heavy sleep of the soul that forgets Him, but the calm rest of one who knows he is kept. May the Lord make this true for your son, that he may lie down and sleep in peace, and rise with a clear and steady mind.
We will keep praying with you. May the Father of mercies grant healing, keep your son under the shadow of His hand, and comfort you both with His presence day and night. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
