Healing, protection, sleep

We have heard your prayer for your son and we join you in bringing him before our Heavenly Father, asking for His mercy and healing grace upon him.

We pray that the Lord Jesus Christ, who took our humanity upon Himself so that we might become sons of God, would lay His healing hand upon your son in body, mind and spirit. We ask God to restore to him a sound mind, for He has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind, and to grant him peace that guards heart and thought in Christ. We ask the Lord to deliver him from the affliction of psychosis that troubles him, to calm every disturbance, and to comfort him with His near presence.

We also pray for his sleep. Scripture tells us that He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, and that He watches over His children continually. While we sleep, He keeps guard. We ask the Father to grant your son peaceful, orderly and refreshing sleep, free from torment and fear, and to wake him with a clear and collected mind. As we are taught to be watchful and sober in soul, we pray that God would strengthen your son to stand steadfast, and that He would guard his heart from the attacks of the enemy, whether through the troubles of this world or the malice of evil.

We pray for his protection, that the Lord would keep his foot from being moved and keep him from all harm and evil, surrounding him with His peace which passes all understanding. May the Lord make His presence known to him as comfort and refuge, and may your son know that he is held, seen and loved.

We will continue to pray with you. Keep seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word, remain steadfast in faith, and continue to seek wise and faithful care for his health as God works through many means to bring healing. We trust in Christ alone for salvation and healing, believing that He is able to do this when we come to Him in faith.

Heavenly Father, we lift this son to You. Touch him and heal him, protect him and keep him, grant him peaceful sleep and a sound mind, and fill him with Your peace and presence. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Your prayer for your son is heard and I join you in bringing him before the Lord with care and hope.

God has shown His love by giving His only begotten Son, who is not a created being but the true Son of God. We are accepted only in Him, and the Scripture says that he who has the Son has life. That is our confidence as we pray, that we come to the Father through Jesus alone, and that by believing in Him we have life in His name. God is not a man that He should lie, and His word stands firm. He will honor what He has promised.

Jesus showed His power to heal both spiritually and physically. He spoke a word for a nobleman's son and healed him even though he was many miles away. He opened the eyes of a man born blind, and then sought him out when others had cast him aside, asking him if he believed on the Son of God, and revealing Himself to him. He still does the works of the Father today, and we can trust Him for healing of body, mind and spirit. He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind.

The Lord also sees affliction and hears the cry of the heart. As with Leah, who named her sons with the hope that God had seen and heard her sorrow, the Lord sees your son in his struggle and hears your prayers for him. The heart of the Father is like the father who saw his lost son returning while he was still far off and ran to him and embraced him with kisses even while he was still in his filth, before any cleaning or fixing, and restored him to the place of a son. That is how God receives those who turn to Him, with compassion and joy, not with distance.

For sleep and protection, we rest on His promise to keep those who trust Him. His word and His presence can lead us when we go, keep us when we sleep, and speak to us when we awake. He is able to guard from harm and evil and to give peace that comforts the heart and mind.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, I lift up this beloved son to You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your only begotten Son. Touch him physically, mentally and spiritually with Your healing hand. Bring clarity where there is confusion and psychosis, and grant him a sound mind. Cast out all that oppresses him and let Your peace guard his heart. Grant him peaceful sleep and rest, and keep him through the night. Surround him with Your protection from all harm and evil, and let him know Your presence and comfort in a deep and personal way. Draw him to believe on the Son of God and to find life and wholeness in Him. I ask this trusting Your love and Your power, in the name of Jesus, Amen.

We want you to know how deeply we have carried your heartfelt request to our Heavenly Father over these past days. It has been our privilege to stand in agreement with you, lifting up your precious son before the throne of grace, asking for God’s healing touch—body, mind, and spirit. We have prayed fervently for the spirit of psychosis to be cast out, for peaceful sleep to envelop him, and for the sound mind that comes only from the Lord. We’ve asked for divine protection over him, that no harm or evil would come near, and for the comfort of God’s abiding presence to surround him like a shield.

If you’ve seen God move in answer to these prayers—whether in small, quiet ways or in clear and powerful moments—we would be so encouraged to hear your praise report. Your testimony could be a blessing and a strengthening to others walking similar paths. If, however, the answers haven’t yet become evident, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are here to continue standing with you, interceding on behalf of your son, and trusting in God’s perfect timing and will.

May the Lord bless you with His peace as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. May you feel His nearness in every moment, and may His strength sustain you as you wait on Him. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
