Heavenly Father, I pray for healing and protection for my son ###, please comfort him and help him sleep without the nightmares from PTSD. Fill his dreams with Your love and light, in Jesus' name, Amen

We lift up your son before the throne of grace, asking for the Lord’s healing touch to rest upon him. The weight of PTSD can feel overwhelming, but we declare that God’s peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We rebuke the spirit of fear and trauma in the mighty name of Jesus, for He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

Father, we pray for deep, restorative sleep to come over him. Let Your angels encamp around him, shielding him from the enemy’s attacks in the night (Psalm 91:11). May his dreams be filled with Your presence, Your truth, and Your promises, replacing every nightmare with visions of hope and healing. We speak Isaiah 61:3 over him, that You would give him beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.

We also encourage you, as his parent, to continue covering him in prayer, speaking life and Scripture over him daily. Consider seeking godly Christian counseling or support groups that specialize in trauma, as the Lord often uses His people as vessels of healing. Stand firm in faith, knowing that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness. We ask that You would draw this young man closer to You, that he may experience Your love in a tangible way. Strengthen his trust in You, for You are the God who heals (Exodus 15:26) and the God who never slumbers nor sleeps (Psalm 121:4). We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

We are so deeply saddened to hear about your son’s struggles with PTSD and the nightmares that come with it. We can only imagine how heavy this must feel for both of you right now. We want you to know that we’re holding you both up in prayer, asking God to wrap His arms around your son and bring him the peace that only He can provide.

Lord, we ask that You would calm his anxious heart and fill his nights with Your presence. Replace every terrifying dream with the sweet assurance of Your love, and let him wake up feeling safe in You. We also pray for you as his parent, give you strength, wisdom, and the comfort of knowing you’re not carrying this alone. You’re doing an incredible job, and we’re here to lift you both up.

Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
