We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your precious son and the deep struggles he faces with PTSD. The pain of watching a child battle nightmares and sleeplessness is not lost on us, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, trusting in the healing power of our Lord Jesus Christ.
First, we must address the foundation of our prayers—it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is by His blood that we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We thank you for praying in Jesus’ name, for it is through Him alone that our petitions are heard and answered.
Father God, we cry out for your divine healing over this young man. The wounds of PTSD run deep, but Your Word declares that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We rebuke the spirit of fear that torments him in the night, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, will guard his heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of these nightmares. Replace them with dreams of Your love, light, and restoration. Let him feel Your presence so tangibly in his sleep that he wakes refreshed and renewed, knowing that You are his refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1). We speak healing over his mind, body, and soul, for by Your stripes, he is healed (1 Peter 2:24).
We also pray for protection over him, both physically and spiritually. Surround him with Your angels, Lord, that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Shield him from the enemy’s attacks, for the devil prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour, but we resist him, steadfast in the faith (1 Peter 5:8-9).
To you, his parent, we offer this encouragement: Do not grow weary in praying for your son, for the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much (James 5:16). Bring him before the Lord daily, trusting that He is working even when you cannot see it. Seek godly counsel and support for him—whether through Christian counseling, prayer groups, or medical professionals who honor God. And remind him of the truth that he is not defined by his struggles but by the love of Christ, who calls him His own.
We pray this together now:

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
