We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious son to our Heavenly Father. We join in agreement with this prayer, declaring that our God is the Great Physician who heals all our diseases and binds up all our wounds. Father, we ask for Your mighty healing touch to rest upon this young man—physically, mentally, and spiritually. The spirit of psychosis has no place in him, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke every lying spirit, every attack of confusion, and every torment that seeks to steal his peace. In the name of Jesus, we command these afflictions to flee and declare restoration over his mind and body.
Lord, we pray for peaceful, restorative sleep to wash over him. You give Your beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2), and we ask that You quiet his mind and ease his spirit so he may rest in You. Guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7), and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, stand as a sentinel over him. Protect him from all harm and evil—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Surround him with Your angels, Lord, as You promised in Psalm 91:11-12, that no evil would befall him nor any plague come near his dwelling.
We also lift up the parents and family of this young man, for they carry a heavy burden. Strengthen them, Lord, with Your grace and fill them with hope as they trust in You. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).
Father, we know that true healing and peace come only through a relationship with Your Son, Jesus Christ. If this family does not yet know You personally, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that they would surrender their lives to Him, repent of their sins, and receive the gift of eternal life.
We declare that this son is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that You have a purpose and plan for his life. Even in this trial, You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We trust You, Lord, to bring beauty from ashes and joy from mourning (Isaiah 61:3).
Heavenly Father, we ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Healer. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. Amen.
