We lift up your precious son before the throne of grace, dear sister or brother in Christ, asking the Lord to move mightily in his life. The scars of trauma run deep, and the nightmares that haunt his sleep are real—but our God is greater. We declare healing over his mind, body, and spirit, trusting in the promise of Psalm 147:3: *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."* May the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind (Philippians 4:7), replacing fear with the assurance of God’s unfailing love.
Father, we also stand in the gap for protection over him. Surround him with Your heavenly host, as You command in Psalm 91:11: *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."* Shield him from the enemy’s lies that seek to torment him, and let Your truth be a fortress around his heart. We rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, and oppression in the name of Jesus, for *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7).
Lord, we ask You to minister to him in his sleep. Let Your presence fill his dreams with hope, restoration, and the knowledge that he is deeply loved. As it says in Jeremiah 31:25, *"For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul."* May he wake refreshed, knowing You are fighting for him.
We also encourage you, as his parent, to cover him in prayer daily, speaking Scripture over him and reminding him of God’s faithfulness. If he has not yet surrendered his struggles to Christ, we pray he would come to know Jesus as his Savior and Healer. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Christ that true peace is found.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your mercy and power. Strengthen this family, bind up their wounds, and let Your light drive out every shadow of fear. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Redeemer and Prince of Peace. Amen.
