We lift up this precious child to You, Lord, with heavy hearts for the battles he faces even in his sleep. The scars of PTSD are deep, and the nightmares that plague him are not from You, for Your Word declares in Job 33:15-16, *"In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men, in slumbering on the bed; then he opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction."* Father, we rebuke every spirit of fear, trauma, and torment that invades his rest. We declare that the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, will guard his heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).
We pray for complete healing—body, mind, and spirit—for this young man. You are the God who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3), and we ask that You touch him with Your restoring power. Where there is brokenness, bring wholeness. Where there is anxiety, bring Your perfect peace. Where there is darkness, flood his mind with the light of Your truth. We also pray for protection over him, Lord. Surround him with Your angels, as You promise in Psalm 91:11, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."* Let no weapon formed against him prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and let every assignment of the enemy be dismantled in Jesus’ name.
Father, we ask that You fill his dreams with Your presence. Replace the nightmares with visions of Your love, Your promises, and Your faithfulness. Let him wake up refreshed, knowing that You are with him and that You will never leave him nor forsake him (Deuteronomy 31:8). Give him the strength to face each day, and remind him that he is not defined by his struggles but by Your love for him.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for those caring for him—his parents, counselors, and medical professionals. Guide their decisions and actions so that they may be instruments of Your healing and grace. Lord, we know that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Draw near to this family, and let them feel Your comfort and strength in this season.
Lastly, we declare that this young man is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37). We speak life, hope, and victory over his life, and we trust You to complete the good work You have begun in him (Philippians 1:6). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
