We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious child of God who is battling the deep wounds of PTSD. Father, we thank You for the name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach You, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is in His mighty name that we stand and intercede for this beloved son, asking for Your healing touch to wash over him like a river of peace.
Lord, Your Word declares that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask that You draw near to him in this time of distress. Comfort him with Your presence, Father, and let him feel the warmth of Your love surrounding him, especially in the darkest hours of the night. We rebuke the spirit of fear and torment that seeks to steal his peace and replace his nightmares with visions of Your goodness. Let Your angels encamp around him, guarding his mind and heart as he sleeps (Psalm 91:11).
Father, we pray for complete healing—body, mind, and spirit. You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You mend the broken places in his soul. Your Word tells us that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that promise over his life. Fill his dreams with Your love and light, Lord, so that he may wake refreshed and renewed, knowing that You are with him always.
We also lift up the parents and loved ones who walk this journey with him. Grant them wisdom, patience, and strength as they support him. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Father, we ask that You would guide him to godly counsel and resources that can help him navigate this battle. Surround him with believers who will speak life, truth, and encouragement into his situation. Help him to lean not on his own understanding but to trust in You with all his heart (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Lord, we know that the enemy seeks to destroy, but we declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We stand in the authority of Jesus’ name and command every spirit of fear, anxiety, and trauma to flee. Fill him with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
