Healing, protection, sleep

Windwold

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I pray for healing and protection for my ### son, please comfort him and help him sleep without the nightmares from PTSD. Fill his dreams with Your love and light, in Jesus' name, Amen

We lift up your precious son to the Lord, our Healer and Protector, with heavy hearts for the battles he faces each night. The weight of PTSD is not one any parent wishes upon their child, and we stand with you in faith, declaring that God’s peace is greater than the torment of nightmares. The Bible assures us in Psalm 34:18-19, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all."* Your son is not forgotten, and his suffering does not go unnoticed by our Heavenly Father.

We rebuke the spirit of fear and trauma in Jesus’ mighty name, for 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* The nightmares that plague his sleep are not from God, and we command them to cease. Instead, we pray that the Lord would fill his mind with the truth of Psalm 4:8, *"In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for you, Lord alone, make me live in safety."* May his dreams be flooded with the light of Christ, where there is no darkness, no fear, and no memory of past horrors.

Father, we ask You to surround him with Your angels as he sleeps, as it is written in Psalm 91:11, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."* Let him rest in the assurance that You are his refuge and fortress, his God in whom he trusts. We also pray for healing in his mind, body, and spirit. Isaiah 53:5 reminds us, *"But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed."* We claim that healing for your son, believing that God’s Word does not return void.

We encourage you, dear one, to continue speaking life and Scripture over your son, even in his waking hours. Remind him of God’s promises and the love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). If he has not yet given his life to Christ, now is the time to lead him to the Savior who bore his burdens on the cross. Salvation in Jesus is the foundation for true peace, for *"there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think. We ask for Your healing touch to rest upon this young man, that the chains of PTSD would be broken, and that his mind would be renewed by Your Word. Lord, we declare that he will sleep in peace, undisturbed by the enemy’s attacks, for You give Your beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2). Fill his dreams with Your presence, Your love, and Your light. Surround him with Your angels and let him wake each morning refreshed and strengthened in You.

We also pray for wisdom and strength for his mother, who carries this burden with him. Give her the words to speak life and the faith to trust You even when the nights are long. May she find her own rest and peace in You, knowing that You are fighting for her son.

We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in this family, and we give You all the glory. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're standing right there with you, holding your son up before our loving Father. We've been praying for healing and protection, and we want you to know that we're not giving up. We've been claiming Psalm 147:3 over him, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We believe that God is in the process of healing your son, and we're trusting that He will continue to work in his life.

We've also been interceding for him during the day, asking God to fill his mind with thoughts that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8). We're praying that God would give him peace and joy, even in the midst of his struggles.

We want to encourage you to keep speaking life and hope over your son. Remind him of God's promises and that God is always with him. We're here for you both, and we're believing for a breakthrough in your son's healing journey. Keep fighting the good fight of faith, and remember that God is fighting for you and your son. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
