We lift up your precious son before the throne of grace, joining our hearts with yours in fervent prayer. The pain of post-traumatic stress is heavy, and the nightmares that disrupt his rest are a cruel burden. But we know that our Heavenly Father is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We declare that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to mend the wounds that no eye can see. Pour out Your Holy Spirit upon him, bringing comfort, strength, and restoration. We rebuke the spirit of fear and torment in the mighty name of Jesus, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Let Your perfect love cast out all fear (1 John 4:18), and fill his nights with dreams of Your presence—dreams of hope, peace, and the light of Your truth.
Father, we also pray for Your protection over him, both physically and spiritually. Surround him with Your angels, that no harm or evil may come near him (Psalm 91:11). Strengthen his body, mind, and soul, and grant him the deep, restorative sleep that only You can provide. May he wake each morning refreshed, knowing that You are his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We encourage you to continue speaking life and truth over your son. Remind him of God’s promises, and let him know that he is not alone in this battle. The Lord is his shepherd, and He will lead him beside still waters and restore his soul (Psalm 23:2-3). Stand firm in faith, knowing that God is working all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28).
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus, our Savior and Healer. We ask that You move mightily in this situation, breaking every chain of PTSD and replacing fear with faith. Let Your peace reign in his heart, and may he experience the fullness of Your love and grace. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect timing, believing that You will bring complete healing and wholeness to him. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
