We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious child of God who is battling the unseen wounds of PTSD. Father, we thank You for the name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach You and the only name by which we can be saved. We declare that by His stripes, this dear one is healed, and we stand on Your promise that You are the God who heals.
Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to rest upon this son. You see every struggle, every fear, and every sleepless night. We rebuke the spirit of fear and torment in the mighty name of Jesus, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that You would bind the nightmares and loose peaceful, restorative sleep over him. Let Your angels encamp around him, guarding his mind and heart as he rests (Psalm 91:11). Fill his dreams with Your love, Your light, and the assurance of Your presence, for You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Father, we also pray for Your divine protection over him—body, soul, and spirit. Shield him from the attacks of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Surround him with Your hedge of protection, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We encourage this family to draw near to You, Lord, for You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Remind them that You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. May they find comfort in Your Word, meditating on it day and night, so that they may be like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding fruit in season and prospering in all they do (Psalm 1:2-3).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, believing in Your power to heal and restore. We lift up this son to You, asking that You would touch him with Your healing hand. Lord, we break the chains of PTSD and nightmares in the name of Jesus, declaring that he is set free by the blood of the Lamb. Fill his mind with Your peace, his heart with Your love, and his spirit with the assurance of Your presence. Protect him, Father, from every scheme of the enemy, and let Your light shine brightly in his life.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and Your faithfulness, knowing that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Strengthen this family, Lord, and draw them closer to You as they walk this journey. May they experience Your peace that passes all understanding and Your joy that is their strength.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
