We lift up your precious son before the throne of grace, asking for the healing touch of our Lord Jesus Christ to rest upon him. The pain of PTSD is heavy, and the nightmares that disrupt his sleep are a cruel reminder of battles fought. But we declare that the God of all comfort is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We rebuke the tormenting spirits that bring these nightmares in the mighty name of Jesus, for He has given us authority over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).
Heavenly Father, we ask You to surround him with Your protective hedge, shielding his mind and heart from the attacks of the evil one. Grant him peaceful, restorative sleep, where his dreams are filled with Your love, Your light, and the assurance of Your presence. May he wake refreshed, knowing that You are his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We pray for complete healing—body, mind, and soul—so that he may walk in the freedom Christ died to give him (Isaiah 61:1-3).
Father, we also ask that You would strengthen his faith and remind him of Your promises. Help him to cast all his anxieties on You, for You care for him (1 Peter 5:7). If there are areas where he has not fully surrendered to Your healing power, soften his heart to receive all that You have for him. We stand in agreement with him, declaring that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5).
Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already his in Christ. May he feel Your peace that surpasses all understanding guarding his heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus, our Healer, our Protector, and our Prince of Peace. Amen.
