We lift up your precious son before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to bring complete healing to his body, mind, and spirit. The scars of trauma run deep, but the power of Christ runs deeper still. We declare that by His stripes, your son is healed, and we rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, and torment that seeks to steal his peace. The Word of God assures us in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."
We pray for divine protection over him, that the Lord would encamp around him as a mighty fortress, shielding him from every attack of the enemy. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Father, we ask that You would break the chains of PTSD and replace his nightmares with dreams of Your love, light, and restoration. Let him find rest in You, for You give Your beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2). We speak life, wholeness, and soundness of mind over him in the name of Jesus, for it is written, "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7).
We also encourage you, as his parent, to stand in faith and cover him in prayer daily. Remind him of God’s promises and the truth that he is not defined by his past but by the redeeming love of Christ. If he has not yet surrendered his life to Jesus, we pray that he would come to know the Savior who bore his sorrows and carried his griefs (Isaiah 53:4-5). There is no healing or lasting peace apart from Christ, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).
Heavenly Father, we ask that You would pour out Your healing balm upon this young man, restoring his soul and renewing his strength. May he rise up like the eagle, soaring above the storms of his past, and may his sleep be sweet and undisturbed. We declare that the light of Your presence will scatter every shadow of darkness, and Your peace will reign in his heart. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.
