We lift up this precious son to You, Lord, with heavy hearts for the battles he faces, both seen and unseen. The scars of PTSD run deep, and the nightmares that disrupt his rest are a cruel reminder of the trauma he has endured. But You, O God, are the Great Physician, the Healer of broken hearts and troubled minds. We declare Your promise over him from Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We ask You to touch his mind and spirit, Lord, bringing restoration and peace where there has been fear and turmoil.
Father, we also pray for Your protection to surround him like a shield. Guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus, as Philippians 4:7 declares, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Let no weapon formed against him prosper, and let the enemy’s lies be silenced by the truth of Your Word. We rebuke the spirits of fear, anxiety, and torment in the mighty name of Jesus, for 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."
Lord, we ask that You fill his dreams with Your presence. Where the enemy has brought darkness, let Your light shine brightly. Replace the nightmares with visions of Your love, Your protection, and Your promises. Let him wake each morning refreshed, knowing that You are with him, as You have promised in Isaiah 41:10, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for those who are caring for him—whether medical professionals, counselors, or family. Guide their hands and their words, Lord, so that they may be instruments of Your healing and grace. Surround him with a community of believers who will uplift him in prayer and encouragement, for "where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them" (Matthew 18:20).
Heavenly Father, we trust in Your faithfulness and Your timing. We ask that You would draw this young man closer to You, that he may find his strength and refuge in You alone. May he experience the depth of Your love in ways that bring healing to his soul. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
If this son does not yet know You as his personal Lord and Savior, we pray that You would reveal Yourself to him in a mighty way. For it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). May he come to know the peace that surpasses all understanding, the peace that comes from a personal relationship with You. We pray for his salvation if he has not yet surrendered his life to Christ, and we ask that You would use this season of struggle to draw him into a deeper walk with You.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. We are so grateful you entrusted us with the weight of your heart as you lifted up your precious son before the Lord. It has been our honor to stand in agreement with you these past days, praying for his healing, protection, and restful sleep—especially for the nightmares tied to his PTSD to be replaced with the peace and light of Christ. We have asked our Heavenly Father to surround him with comfort, to quiet his mind with His presence, and to fill his dreams with reminders of His unfailing love.
