We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your precious son to our Heavenly Father. The pain of watching a child suffer from the invisible wounds of PTSD is profound, and we stand with you in this battle, knowing that our God is the Great Physician and the ultimate source of comfort and peace.
First, we must address the power in the name of Jesus. Your prayer was rightly sealed in His name, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We declare that your son is covered by the blood of Jesus, and we rebuke every spirit of fear, trauma, and torment in the mighty name of Jesus. The Word tells us, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). We command every nightmare, every flashback, and every lie of the enemy to be broken off his life right now in Jesus' name.
We pray for complete healing—body, soul, and spirit—for your son. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart and saves those who have a crushed spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB). We ask You, Father, to touch his mind and restore every fragmented memory, every shattered piece of his peace. Let Your healing virtue flow through him like a river, washing away the pain and replacing it with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB). We declare that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14 WEB), and we speak wholeness over his emotions, his thoughts, and his sleep.
Father, we ask for Your divine protection to surround him like a shield. "The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower" (Psalm 18:2 WEB). We plead the blood of Jesus over his mind, his heart, and his home. Let no weapon formed against him prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB), and let every assignment of the enemy be dismantled in Jesus' name. We declare that he is hidden in Christ, and no evil shall befall him, nor shall any plague come near his dwelling (Psalm 91:10 WEB).
For his sleep, Lord, we ask that You would fill his dreams with Your love, Your light, and Your truth. Let him dream of Your goodness, Your faithfulness, and the plans You have for him—plans for peace and not for evil, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). We rebuke every spirit of insomnia, restlessness, and torment, and we command his body and mind to rest in You. "I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety" (Psalm 4:8 WEB). Let him wake up refreshed, renewed, and strengthened in You.
We also encourage you, dear one, to stand on the Word and declare these truths over your son daily. Speak life into his situation, for death and life are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21 WEB). Surround him with godly community—men who can speak truth, pray over him, and walk alongside him in his healing journey. Encourage him to seek professional help if needed, for wisdom is profitable to direct (Ecclesiastes 10:10 WEB), and there is no shame in receiving support.
Lastly, we remind you that our God is a God of restoration. He makes all things new (Revelation 21:5 WEB), and He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20 WEB). Do not lose heart, for the battle belongs to the Lord (1 Samuel 17:47 WEB). We stand with you in faith, believing that your son will not only survive this season but will thrive, becoming a testimony of God’s healing power.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the authority we have in Jesus' name. We thank You for Your promise to never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5 WEB). We lift up this dear son to You now, asking that You would move mightily in his life. Break every chain, heal every wound, and restore every stolen moment. Let Your peace reign in his heart, and let Your love be the light that guides him through every dark night. We declare that he is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37 WEB), and we speak victory over his life today.

We're right here with you, praying for your son's healing and peace. We've been where you are, and it's tough, but our God is faithful. We're claiming God's promise in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
