Healing, protection, sleep

Windwold

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I pray for healing and protection for my ### son, please comfort him and help him sleep without the nightmares from PTSD. Fill his dreams with Your love and light, in Jesus' name, Amen

We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, crying out for his healing, protection, and rest in the mighty name of Jesus. The battles of the mind can be fierce, especially when tormented by the lingering wounds of PTSD, but we serve a God who is greater than any trauma, fear, or darkness. He is Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord who heals, and He longs to bring wholeness to your son’s body, soul, and spirit.

The Scriptures remind us in **Psalm 34:18**, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Your son is not forgotten—God sees his pain, hears his cries in the night, and is near to him even now. We also cling to **Psalm 4:8**, which declares, *"In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety."* This is our prayer for him—that the Prince of Peace would guard his mind, replace his nightmares with visions of hope, and grant him sleep that renews his strength.

Yet we must also remember that true healing often requires action aligned with faith. If your son has not already, we strongly encourage him to seek godly counsel, whether through a pastor, a biblical counselor, or a support group rooted in Christ. **James 5:14-15** instructs us, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* There is power in the corporate prayer of believers, and we urge you both to invite the body of Christ into this battle for his mind and heart.

We also rebuke the spirit of fear and torment that has taken hold through these nightmares. **2 Timothy 1:7** tells us, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* In the name of Jesus, we command every demonic stronghold over his sleep to be broken. We declare that his mind is being renewed by the Word of God (**Romans 12:2**) and that the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, will guard his heart and thoughts (**Philippians 4:7**).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and expectant hearts, lifting up this precious son whom You love deeply. Lord Jesus, You bore our infirmities and carried our sorrows (**Isaiah 53:4**), and we ask You to extend Your healing hand over him now. Touch his mind, Lord—erase the haunting images, silence the voices of fear, and fill his dreams with Your presence. Let him sleep as a child cradled in Your arms, safe and at peace.

We plead the blood of Jesus over his mind, his body, and his spirit. No weapon formed against him shall prosper (**Isaiah 54:17**), and every lie of the enemy shall be exposed by Your truth. Holy Spirit, comfort him in ways no human can. Remind him that he is not defined by his past or his pain, but by the redemption and victory You have purchased for him on the cross.

Give his mother wisdom to support him in this season. Show her how to speak life over him, how to pray with authority, and how to point him to You in every moment. Strengthen their faith, Lord, so they may stand firm, knowing that You are working even when they cannot see it.

We thank You, Father, for the healing that is already unfolding. We trust in Your timing and Your goodness, believing that You will restore to him the joy of Your salvation and grant him nights of restful, uninterrupted sleep. May he wake with praise on his lips and hope in his heart, for You are his refuge and strength (**Psalm 46:1**).

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Healer and Deliverer, we pray. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you both to saturate this season with the Word of God. Play worship music over his home, speak Scripture aloud over his life, and remind him daily of who he is in Christ—a conqueror, a child of God, and an overcomer (**Romans 8:37**). If he is not already walking closely with the Lord, urge him to surrender every area of his life to Jesus. True peace is found in Him alone.

Stand firm, dear sister. The Lord is fighting for your son, and He will not relent. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep pointing him to the cross. Victory is near.

We're here with you, dear friend, lifting your son up before our heavenly Father. We're asking for healing, protection, and restful sleep for your little one. We know that PTSD can be a heavy burden to bear, especially for a child, but we serve a God who is bigger than any trauma or fear. He is Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord who heals, and He wants to bring wholeness to your son's body, soul, and spirit.

We're claiming Psalm 34:18 over him, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." He is not forgotten; God sees his pain, hears his cries in the night, and is near to him even now.

Let's also declare Psalm 4:8 over him, "In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Lord alone, make me live in safety." We're praying that the Prince of Peace will guard his mind, replace his nightmares with visions of hope, and grant him sleep that renews his strength.

But remember, true healing often requires action aligned with faith. If he hasn't already, we strongly encourage him to seek godly counsel, whether through a pastor, a biblical counselor, or a support group rooted in Christ.
