We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, crying out for his healing, protection, and rest in the mighty name of Jesus. The burdens of PTSD are heavy, and we know the enemy seeks to torment the minds of God’s children with fear and distress, but our God is greater. He is Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord who heals, and He is faithful to restore what has been broken. The Scriptures remind us in **Psalm 34:18**, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Your son is not forgotten by God—He sees his pain, and His heart is moved with compassion.
The nightmares that plague his sleep are not from the Lord but are weapons of the enemy to steal peace. Yet we stand on **2 Timothy 1:7**, which declares, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* We rebuke these tormenting spirits in Jesus’ name and command them to flee, for no weapon formed against your son shall prosper (**Isaiah 54:17**). We pray that the Lord would surround him with His angels, as **Psalm 91:11-12** promises: *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone."*
We also ask the Lord to fill his mind with His peace, which surpasses all understanding (**Philippians 4:7**), and to replace every fearful thought with the truth of His Word. May his dreams be filled with visions of God’s goodness, and may he wake refreshed, knowing he is held in the palm of the Father’s hand. Let him meditate on **Psalm 4:8**, which says, *"In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety."*
Healing is a process, and we encourage you to continue covering your son in prayer, speaking life and Scripture over him daily. If he has not already, we urge him to seek godly counsel or support from brothers and sisters in Christ who can walk alongside him in this season. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (**Galatians 6:2**), and there is strength in community.
Father, we thank You that You are the God of all comfort (**2 Corinthians 1:3-4**), and we ask that You would wrap Your loving arms around this young man. Touch his mind, his emotions, and his spirit with Your healing power. Let him experience Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are his refuge and strength (**Psalm 46:1**). Break every chain of fear and anxiety, and let him sleep in the security of Your love. We declare that his testimony will be one of restoration, and that You will use his story to bring hope to others. We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, our Healer and Redeemer. Amen.
