We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, crying out for his healing, protection, and rest in the mighty name of Jesus. The burdens of PTSD are heavy, and we know the enemy seeks to torment the minds of God’s children with fear and painful memories. But we stand firm on the truth of Scripture, declaring that our God is greater—He is the Prince of Peace, the Healer of broken hearts, and the One who guards our minds in Christ Jesus.
The Word of God assures us in **Psalm 34:17-19 (WEB)**, *“The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* Your son is not forgotten; the Lord sees his pain and is near to him in this struggle. We also claim **2 Timothy 1:7 (WEB)**, which reminds us that *“God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* The nightmares and anxiety he faces are not from God—they are attacks of the enemy, and we rebuke them in Jesus’ name, commanding peace to flood his mind and heart.
For sleep, we turn to **Psalm 4:8 (WEB)**, *“In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety."* We pray that your son would experience this divine peace, that his sleep would be deep and restorative, and that the Lord would fill his dreams with visions of hope, comfort, and His unfailing love. Let the angels of the Lord encamp around him, as **Psalm 91:11 (WEB)** promises: *“For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."*
We also encourage you to speak life over your son daily, reminding him of his identity in Christ. The trauma he has endured does not define him—he is a child of God, redeemed and beloved. If he has not already, we urge him to seek godly counseling or support from brothers and sisters in Christ who can walk alongside him in this season. Isolation can magnify the enemy’s lies, but community and the Word of God bring light and truth.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, asking for Your healing touch upon this precious son. Lord, You are the God who binds up the brokenhearted and sets the captives free. We ask that You would break every chain of fear, anxiety, and torment that has bound him. Fill his mind with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and let Your love cast out every shadow of darkness. Protect him from the schemes of the enemy, and let Your angels minister to him as he sleeps. Restore his soul, renew his strength, and let him wake with joy and hope in You. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, You shall condemn. This is our prayer in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Healer. Amen.
Stand firm in faith, knowing that the Lord is working even now. Keep covering your son in prayer, and trust that God’s timing and methods are perfect. We are with you in this, believing for his complete restoration.
