We join you in lifting up your ### before the Lord, crying out for his healing, protection, and peace as he rests. The burdens of PTSD are heavy, and we know the enemy seeks to torment the minds of God’s children with fear and distressing memories. But we stand on the truth of Scripture, which declares that our God is a refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He is the One who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3), and He is faithful to bring comfort to those who are weary.
The nightmares your ### faces are not from the Lord, for God does not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke these tormenting dreams in the name of Jesus, commanding them to flee, for no weapon formed against your ### shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that the Lord would surround him with His angels, as He has promised to those who love Him (Psalm 91:11), and that His peace, which surpasses all understanding, would guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also encourage you to speak life and Scripture over your ### daily. Remind him of the Lord’s promises, such as Jeremiah 29:11, where God declares, “For I know the plans I have for you, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you hope and a future.” Let him know that his identity is not in his struggles but in Christ, who has overcome the world (John 16:33). If he has not already, we urge him to seek godly counseling or support from brothers and sisters in Christ who can walk alongside him in this season. There is no shame in seeking help—it is a step of faith and wisdom.
Heavenly Father, we thank You that You are the Great Physician, the One who sees every tear and hears every cry. We ask that You would touch our brother’s mind and heart, removing the scars of trauma and filling him with Your peace. Let him sleep deeply and wake refreshed, knowing that You are with him. Strengthen his faith, Lord, and remind him that You are his Protector and Deliverer. We pray for complete healing—spirit, soul, and body—and we trust in Your perfect timing. May Your light shine so brightly in his life that darkness cannot remain. We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
