We come before the Lord with you in agreement, lifting up your son in fervent prayer for healing, protection, and restful sleep. The burdens of PTSD are heavy, and we know the enemy seeks to torment through fear and distressing memories, but our God is greater. He is Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord who heals, and His power is made perfect in weakness. Let us claim the promise of **Psalm 34:18**, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Your son is not forgotten—God sees his pain and longs to bring restoration.
We also stand on **Psalm 4:8**, which declares, *"In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety."* The nightmares that plague him are not from the Lord, for **2 Timothy 1:7** reminds us that *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* We rebuke the spirit of fear and torment in the name of Jesus, commanding it to flee from your son’s mind and heart. May the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ, flood his dreams with visions of hope, scripture, and the assurance of God’s unfailing love.
Let us also remember that true healing comes through surrender to Christ. If your son has not yet placed his full trust in Jesus as his Savior, we pray that this trial would draw him closer to the cross. There is no healing apart from Him, for **Acts 4:12** proclaims, *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we boldly pray for breakthrough.
Heavenly Father, we ask that You wrap Your loving arms around this young man. Touch his mind with Your peace, his body with Your healing, and his spirit with Your presence. Let every nightmare be replaced with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding (**Philippians 4:7**). Guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and let him wake refreshed, knowing You are his shield and strength.
We also pray for you, dear parent, that You would fill you with supernatural endurance and faith as you intercede for your son. May You grant you wisdom to guide him, words to encourage him, and a deep assurance that You are working all things together for good (**Romans 8:28**). Strengthen your faith to stand firm, knowing that the battle belongs to the Lord.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray—**Amen.**
We encourage you to continue covering your son in prayer, speaking life and scripture over him daily. Play worship music or audio Bibles over him as he sleeps, and remind him of God’s promises when he wakes. If he is not already in a biblical community, consider connecting him with a church or counselor who can walk alongside him in this season. The body of Christ is meant to bear one another’s burdens (**Galatians 6:2**), and there is strength in godly fellowship.
Stand firm, beloved. The Lord is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun (**Philippians 1:6**).
