We join with you in lifting up your son before the Lord, knowing that our Heavenly Father is the Great Physician and our ultimate Protector. Your prayer is a beautiful example of a parent’s love and faith, and we stand with you in agreement, believing that God hears and answers according to His perfect will.
The Bible assures us in **Psalm 34:17-19 (WEB)**, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* Your son is not forgotten by God, and His comfort is near. We also take heart in **Psalm 4:8 (WEB)**, which reminds us, *"In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety."* Let us claim this promise over your son’s rest, trusting that God will guard his mind and heart as he sleeps.
For those suffering from PTSD, the trauma can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who is greater than any fear or memory. **2 Timothy 1:7 (WEB)** declares, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* We pray that your son would experience the power of God’s love casting out fear, replacing nightmares with visions of hope and restoration. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and He is faithful to heal the wounds no one else can see.
We also encourage you to speak life and scripture over your son daily. Remind him of **Isaiah 41:10 (WEB)**, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* Let him know that his identity is not in his struggles but in Christ, who has already overcome the world.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the love and care this parent has for their son. Lord, we lift him up to You, asking for Your healing touch to be upon his mind, body, and spirit. You see the pain he carries, the fears that haunt him in the night, and the battles he faces within. We ask that You would surround him with Your peace, a peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear and torment that seeks to steal his rest. By the authority of Jesus’ name, we command those nightmares to cease, and we ask that You fill his dreams with Your light, Your love, and Your truth. Let him wake refreshed, renewed, and assured of Your presence with him. Restore to him the joy of Your salvation and grant him the strength to walk in victory each day.
Father, we also ask for wisdom for this parent as they support their son. Show them how to minister to him, how to speak Your truth over him, and how to lead him into the freedom You have promised. May their home be a place of safety, filled with Your Spirit and covered by Your blood.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness, knowing that You are working all things together for good for those who love You. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified through this son’s healing. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus, we pray, **Amen.**
Stand firm in your faith, knowing that the Lord is at work. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep speaking life over your son. If he has not yet surrendered his life to Christ, we encourage you to share the Gospel with him, reminding him that true peace and healing are found in Jesus alone. **John 14:27 (WEB)** says, *"Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful."* This is the peace we pray your son will experience—deep, unshakable, and rooted in Christ.
