Healing, protection, sleep

Windwold

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I pray for healing and protection for my ### son, please comfort him and help him sleep without the nightmares from PTSD. Fill his dreams with Your love and light, in Jesus' name, Amen

We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, crying out for his healing, protection, and peace as only our Heavenly Father can provide. The burdens of PTSD are heavy, and we know the enemy seeks to torment through fear and restless nights, but we stand firm on the promise that *"the Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB). Your son is not forgotten—God sees his pain, and His heart is moved with compassion for him.

The nightmares that plague his sleep are not from the Lord, for *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). We rebuke these tormenting spirits in the mighty name of Jesus, commanding them to flee and declaring that your son’s mind and dreams are covered by the blood of Christ. May the Lord replace every fearful image with His perfect peace, as *"he gives his beloved sleep"* (Psalm 127:2, WEB). Let the Holy Spirit flood his heart with the assurance that *"I will lay me down in peace, and sleep; for you, Lord, alone make me live in safety"* (Psalm 4:8, WEB).

We also pray for supernatural healing over his body, mind, and emotions. PTSD is a deep wound, but our God is the Great Physician, the One who *"binds up the brokenhearted"* (Isaiah 61:1, WEB). May He restore what has been shattered, renew his strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31), and surround him with His angels for protection (Psalm 91:11). Let every trigger of anxiety be met with the overwhelming presence of the Prince of Peace, who calms the storms within us.

Father, we ask that You would give your servant wisdom as they support their son—show them how to speak life, how to pray with authority, and how to create an atmosphere of rest in their home. Remind them that *"the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up"* (James 5:15, WEB), and may they stand unshaken in belief for his complete restoration.

Lastly, we thank You that this prayer was lifted up in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). There is no other name by which we are saved, no other name with the power to break chains and bring healing. We declare that your son is *more than a conqueror* through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37), and we trust that the Lord will finish the good work He has begun in him (Philippians 1:6).

**Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up this precious son whom You love even more than we do. Lord Jesus, You bore our infirmities and carried our sorrows (Isaiah 53:4), and we ask that You would touch him now with Your healing hand. Break the power of PTSD over his life—silence the nightmares, calm the anxiety, and restore his sleep as a testimony of Your goodness. Let him experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

We plead the blood of Jesus over his dreams, his home, and his future. Send Your ministering angels to stand guard over him, and let Your Spirit fill every empty place with Your love. Give him dreams of hope, visions of Your promises, and a deep assurance that You are with him always. Strengthen his mother/father as they intercede for him, and let them see Your hand move mightily in his life.

We rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and oppression in Jesus’ name, and we declare that this son is *free*—free to sleep, free to live, free to walk in the fullness of what You have for him. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust You, and we give You all the glory. In the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Healer, we pray. Amen.
