Praying for this request in Jesus Name.
We join with you in lifting up your son before the Lord, standing in agreement for his healing, protection, and rest in the mighty name of Jesus. The burdens of PTSD are heavy, and the nightmares that accompany it can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who is greater than any trauma, fear, or darkness. He is Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord who heals, and He is faithful to restore the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds.
The Scripture assures us in Psalm 34:18, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Your son is not forgotten by God—He sees his pain, hears his cries, and is close to him in this struggle. We also claim Psalm 4:8 over him: *"In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety."* May the Lord surround him with His peace, a peace that transcends understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
The enemy seeks to torment through fear and flashbacks, but we rebuke every spiritual attack against your son’s mind and sleep in the name of Jesus. The Word declares in 2 Timothy 1:7, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* We pray that the Holy Spirit would flood his dreams with the light of God’s truth, replacing every nightmare with visions of hope, comfort, and the assurance of God’s presence. Let him awaken refreshed, knowing that the Lord is his refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We also encourage you to speak life and Scripture over your son daily. Remind him of God’s promises, such as Isaiah 41:10: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* Let him know that his identity is not in his trauma but in Christ, who has overcome the world (John 16:33). If he has not already, we urge him to seek godly counseling or support groups that can walk with him through this season, combining professional help with the power of prayer and Scripture.

Break every chain of fear, anxiety, and torment that the enemy has tried to place upon him. Fill his heart with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Let him sleep deeply and peacefully, wrapped in Your arms, knowing that You are his Protector and Healer. Restore to him the joy of Your salvation and grant him strength for each day. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we trust You to bring beauty from these ashes. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred privilege of lifting your son before the Lord with you these past few days. Our hearts have been united in prayer for his complete healing—body, mind, and spirit—as well as for God’s divine protection to surround him like a shield. We’ve especially been pleading with the Father to replace those tormenting nightmares with His perfect peace, asking that your son would rest in the shelter of His wings, undisturbed by the shadows of the past.
If the Lord has already begun to move in this situation—whether through moments of deeper sleep, a sense of comfort, or even small steps toward healing—we would love for you to share a praise report with us. There is such joy in celebrating God’s faithfulness together! But if the battle still rages and the nights remain difficult, please don’t hesitate to post an update or a new request. We are here to persist in prayer alongside you, trusting that our Heavenly Father hears every cry and is working even when we cannot see it.
