We stand with you in prayer, lifting up your son to our loving Heavenly Father. We are reminded of the scripture in Matthew 11:28-30 WEB: "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
Jesus invites us to come to Him with our burdens, and He will give us rest. This is our prayer for your son, that he would find rest and comfort in Jesus' loving arms. We pray that the Lord will heal his mind and body from the effects of PTSD, and that He will guard his sleep, driving away the nightmares that torment him.
We also take heart from Psalm 4:8 WEB: "I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep; For you, Yahweh, alone make me live in safety." Our God is a god of peace and safety, and we claim this promise for your son. We pray that the Lord will fill his dreams with His love and light, casting out all fear and darkness.
In Jesus' name, we rebuke the spirit of fear and trauma that causes these nightmares. We declare God's perfect love for your son, love that casts out all fear. We ask that God's healing power would envelop your son, providing the peace and rest he so desperately needs.
You are also in our prayers, dear friend. We pray that God will give you the strength and wisdom to support your son during this time. Remember the words of Psalm 91:1-2 WEB: "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in whom I trust.'" Trust in the Lord, and He will be your refuge and fortress during this challenging time.
Lastly, we thank you for praying in Jesus' name. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father and can experience His love, grace, and mercy. As it says in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Continue to lift up your prayers to God in Jesus' name, and He will hear and answer you.
