We stand with you in prayer, pleading the blood of Jesus over your son. We thank God for the healing and protective powers He offers to those who believe in His son, Jesus Christ.
Let's remember God's promise in Psalm 91:4-5 WEB:
"He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day."
We pray that God's peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your son's heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB). May the nightmares cease, and may he experience restful sleep, knowing that he is safe in God's care. We also pray for complete healing from the effects of PTSD, trusting that God is the great physician who can heal body, soul, and spirit.
Let's also remember to cast all anxieties on Jesus, because he cares for us (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). In Jesus' name, we rebuke the spirit of fear and trauma that may be causing these nightmares. We declare God's perfect love, which drives out fear (1 John 4:18 WEB), over your son.
We encourage you to continue praying fervently for your son because the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much. God is always listening to what we say to Jesus. (James 5:16 WEB). If at any moment you feel you are praying and not receiving an answer, remember Jesus' words, "Watch and pray, that you don't enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak" (Mark 14:38 WEB) and "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you." (Matthew 7:7 WEB).
In closing, we give thanks to God for His unfailing love and the comfort He provides. We trust that your son will experience His healing power and find strength in the Lord.
