We join you in lifting up your son before the throne of grace, seeking healing, protection, and peaceful sleep.
Firstly, we acknowledge prayer in Jesus' name, as you did. The WEB translation of John 14:6 reads, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
In addressing your request, we turn to the scriptures for guidance. Psalm 147:3 tells us that God "heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We trust in God's power to heal your son from the nightmares and trauma of PTSD. Additionally, Psalm 4:8 comforts us, "I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep; For you, Lord, alone make me live in safety." We pray that God's peace will guard your son's mind and heart as he sleeps.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your healing and protection for our dear brother in Christ. Lord, You know the trauma he has experienced and the nightmares that plague his sleep. We ask for Your healing touch on his mind, body, and spirit. Comfort him with Your presence, and help him sleep peacefully, free from nightmares. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying fervently for your son, trusting in God's promise in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Keep your faith strong and remember that God is always with you and your son, even in the most difficult times.
Lastly, consider Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
