Healing prayers

Disciple of Prayer
I overdid activity outdoors today in the heat. Am chilled now and asking for your kind prayers to overcome ### and health restoration. Thank you am resting in Jesus Amen

We are deeply concerned to hear about your overexertion in the heat and the chills you are experiencing now. This is a serious matter, and we want to lift you up in prayer immediately, trusting in the Lord’s healing power. The Bible reminds us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." Our God is a God of healing, and we stand on His promises for your restoration.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your healing touch upon our dear brother/sister. You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your power to restore health and strength. Lord, we ask that You would ease their discomfort, calm the chills, and renew their body. Protect them from further harm and guide them in wisdom to care for themselves according to Your will. We declare that by Your stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we receive that healing now. Strengthen them in spirit, soul, and body, and let them feel Your peace and presence as they rest in You. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We also encourage you to take practical steps to recover, rest, hydrate, and seek medical attention if symptoms persist or worsen. The body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we are called to steward it well. Overexertion, especially in extreme conditions, can be dangerous, and we want to remind you to listen to your body and honor God by caring for it.

Additionally, we want to commend you for resting in Jesus. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is by His name alone that we are saved and healed. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We are so grateful that you are turning to Him in this time of need.

May the Lord surround you with His peace and comfort as you recover. We will continue to pray for your complete healing and restoration. If there is anything else weighing on your heart, please share it with us so we may lift it up together in prayer. You are not alone, we are standing with you in faith.

We’re joining you in prayer right now, grateful that you’re resting in Jesus. That’s a good place to be. When our bodies remind us we’ve pushed too hard, it can feel discouraging, but we’re not alone in it.

It sounds like your body is asking for gentleness. Along with prayer, we’d encourage you to keep resting, sip water or something with electrolytes, and let someone nearby know how you’re feeling if you can. If the chills hang on or you start to feel worse, dizzy, confused, or sick to your stomach, please don’t hesitate to get checked out by a doctor. Heat-related illness can sneak up, and a quick check can bring peace of mind.

We’re asking the Lord to steady your temperature, restore your strength, and calm any anxious thoughts. He knows the needs of your body and cares about every detail. Sometimes healing comes through simple rest and time; sometimes through the skill of a doctor. Either way, you’re held in His hands.

Father, thank you that this dear one is resting in you. Please bring their body back to a healthy balance, ease the chills, and renew their energy. Give them wisdom to know when rest is enough and when extra help is needed. Surround them with your peace, and let them feel your presence in this quiet moment. In Jesus’ name, we trust you. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

It is a present rest, rest now, not after a time of probation, but rest given when we come to Jesus, given there and then. And it is perfect rest too. You are resting in Him, and that is well, for the very leaves of that Tree are for healing. Not only is His fruit sweet, but the leaves, the little things about Christ, are full of healing virtue. Even this bodily chill and weariness, laid before Him, touches the hem of His garment.

Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy, He said, "Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you." Pardon and healing were one. Trust, then, that the Lord who has forgiven you has also provided a healing draught for your body. It may be that in this enforced quiet, you learn more of Him, for it is the rest of a learner. "Learn of me, and ye shall find rest." It is rest on the wing, rest in service, not always rest with the yoke off. Take His yoke voluntarily, even in this weakness, and you shall find a deep, abiding rest unto your soul.

The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ. Rest there. Do not let your mind be disturbed as with the jostling of a crowd upon a wounded man. The Great Physician is near, and He is not so much pointing out disease as applying the remedy. Yield to Him now, and let this season of resting in Him be a time of refreshing. You shall not be consumed, for we who have believed do enter into rest, rest here, and a foretaste of that perfect rest hereafter, where no Monday mornings come. God bless you and raise you up.

Your labor in the heat has brought on this chill, but let it remind you that the body often rebels when we overdo. Yet the Great Physician is at hand. He shows us, as with the publican, that no fever of body or soul is beyond His swift cure if we obey His laws. This momentary weakness is not a punishment but a call to rest in Him who made the body. Do not despair, for even as the physician uses sickness to teach wisdom, so this shivering may teach you to know your limits and cling more tightly to the One who grants health. The cloud of witnesses surrounds you, and their memory can cool the burning of overexertion, just as a cloud shades from the scorching sun.

See how quickly we run to Jesus when the body fails. That is good, for sin’s fever is far graver than this passing chill. Sin leaves a venom in the soul long after the act is done, making us weaker for the next battle. But bodily sickness, borne thankfully, can purge away many sins and send us home purified. You did not sin by working in the heat; you simply reached the boundary of your strength. Now, in resting, you are not idle but are obeying the Physician’s command to preserve your health for His service. Do not rush back to activity as though health were meant for reckless spending. Let this enforced stillness teach you what the rich man never learned: to despise the world’s frantic pace, to be content in weakness, and to count yourself rich because you lack nothing needful when you have Christ.

So, do not be highminded about your own strength when it returns. Look at the poor and the sick who sit in the church porches, and learn from them. They bear their ailments with more gratitude than many who are well. This chill is a small thing, but it can work a great humility in you. Pray, yes, for restoration, but pray more that you may bear this lightly and with thanksgiving, knowing that He who permits the fever also limits its fire. He will not let you be tried beyond what you can endure, and His power is made perfect in your weakness. Rest in that truth, and let your resting body be a sanctuary of quiet trust.

Resting in Jesus is the very best place to be right now. When the body is drained from overexertion and heat, that posture of trust becomes more than a comfort, it speaks of a soul that is already prospering. There is a beautiful connection between our inner lives and our physical well-being. The attitudes of the heart can affect the chemistry of the body, and gratitude, peace, and faith do something real inside us. Your resting in Him is not a passive escape; it is an act of strength.

I am lifting you up, asking the Lord to touch your body and restore what the heat has taken out of you. I have seen His healing power in ordinary moments. I recall a mother whose child was burning with a high fever. As we prayed, the heat literally lifted, the forehead cooling under my hand. Another time, a person too sick to move felt a sudden surge of health and got up strong. God still works in those ways, and He is not limited by our circumstances.

But I also know that He does not always heal the same way or in the same timing. We will not pretend that there are tidy formulas. The same apostle through whom miracles flowed also watched a dear fellow worker nearly die from illness. Healing belongs to God’s sovereign hands, and His ways are higher than ours. What we reject completely is the cruel notion that you are at fault, or that God has turned away. Your sickness is not a sign of His displeasure. His love covers you right now, seeing past every weakness with nothing but adoring eyes.

Even as our physical abilities ebb and flow, the real victory is not in a pain-free body but in a faith that overcomes the world through Jesus Christ. Your simple confession that you are resting in Him shows the word of God abiding in you. That is how we overcome the wicked one. So let that word anchor you tonight. Trust that His hand is not too short to save you, nor His ear too dull to hear. I pray He refreshes you, quiets the chills, and raises you up in His perfect time, body, soul, and spirit. May you feel His presence as tangibly as a cooling hand on a fevered brow.
