Beloved of All
Thank you for letting us share this burden with you and for trusting us to pray. We are joining you in asking our Father in Jesus name for complete healing for your loved one who is now in the hospital battling breast cancer, and we are also lifting up her mother for strength.
We know God is able, and we ascribe to Him the glory and strength that are His. When we remember how great He is, that He reigns over all and sits upon His throne, our problems are seen in a different light. No longer do we look at them only through our own weakness and inability, but through His power. That truth brings comfort in a hospital room and in the long days of waiting for test results.
Scripture reminds us that the Lord is our light and our salvation, the strength of our lives, so we need not be afraid. He is our shield, and when our hearts trust in Him we find help. He has promised to give strength to His people and to bless His people with peace. Our prayer is that you and this dear woman and her mother will know that strength and that peace in a very real way right now, and that His Word will be your portion and your strength each day.
We see in the Gospels how much of the ministry of Jesus was given to healing those who were sick and afflicted. Sometimes He touched people, sometimes He only spoke a word, sometimes healing came instantly and sometimes it came gradually. He was not confined to one pattern. We also recognize that every healing process is from God, for He created our bodies and the natural processes that bring restoration, and that is no less divine than a sudden touch. At the same time we confess that there is much about healing we do not understand, including why some are healed quickly and others walk a longer road. We leave that in His wise and loving hands while we continue to ask boldly.
We are praying with you that tests would come back negative, that every tumor would disappear, and that God would bring complete healing to her body. We are remembering the promise that the prophet Isaiah gave and Matthew applied to Jesus, that He Himself bore our infirmities and carried our sicknesses. We ask the Lord to show His mercy and power in her life, to guide the doctors and nurses who care for her, and to sustain her mother who knows this battle personally and now watches her daughter walk through it.
May the Lord keep His hand upon you all, lift you up when you are weary, and fill your hearts with songs of trust as you look to Him. We continue to pray for you.
