We lift up this dear brother in Christ who is battling colon cancer, standing with him in faith as he endures chemotherapy and now begins radiation. The Word of God declares in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We come before the throne of grace with boldness, believing in the power of prayer and the healing touch of our Savior.
Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus, we ask for Your divine intervention in this situation. We rebuke this cancer in the name of Jesus, declaring that by His stripes, this brother is healed (Isaiah 53:5). Lord, we pray that You would strengthen his body, restore his health, and give him the endurance to face each treatment with hope and faith. We ask that You would guide the hands of his doctors and medical team, granting them wisdom and insight as they care for him. Father, we trust in Your promise that all things work together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We claim complete healing and restoration for this brother, believing that nothing is impossible for You (Luke 1:37).
We also pray for peace and comfort for him and his loved ones during this challenging time. May Your presence surround them, filling their hearts with hope and assurance of Your love. Remind them, Lord, that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We ask that You would draw them closer to You, deepening their faith and trust in Your sovereign plan.
If there are any areas in this brother’s life where sin may have opened a door to this illness, we pray for repentance and forgiveness. We know that confession and turning away from sin bring healing (James 5:16). Father, we ask that You would reveal anything that needs to be addressed, so that his spirit, soul, and body may be made whole in Christ.
We stand on Your Word, Lord, and declare that this cancer will not spread but will be completely eradicated by the power of Jesus’ name. We thank You in advance for the testimony of healing that will bring glory to Your name. May this brother’s faith be strengthened, and may his life be a living testimony of Your goodness and mercy. In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.
