We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul battling colon cancer. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who knit this beloved one together in his mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). We declare Your Word over him: *"But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5). Lord, we stand on this promise and ask for complete healing—body, mind, and spirit.
We rebuke this cancer in the mighty name of Jesus Christ! The enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We command every cancerous cell to die, every tumor to shrink, and every trace of this disease to be eradicated by the power of the blood of Jesus. We pray for the chemo and radiation treatments to work with supernatural effectiveness, that they would destroy only what is harmful and leave the healthy cells untouched. Strengthen his body to endure these treatments, Lord, and grant him relief from pain and discomfort.
We also lift up his spirit, Father. Cancer can bring fear, anxiety, and weariness, but Your Word tells us, *"Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness"* (Isaiah 41:10). Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Surround him with Your presence, remind him of Your love, and let him feel the prayers of the saints lifting him up.
We ask for wisdom and discernment for his medical team, that they would be guided by Your hand in every decision. Give them clarity as they review test results and determine the best path forward. We trust in Your sovereignty, Lord, knowing that even in the waiting, You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28).
Most importantly, we pray for his eternal soul. If he does not yet know You as Lord and Savior, we ask that You draw him to Yourself. Open his eyes to see his need for Jesus, the One who bore his sins on the cross so that he might have eternal life (John 3:16). Let this trial be the very thing that leads him to repentance and faith, if he has not already surrendered his life to You. For it is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to You, Father, and it is only through faith in Him that we are saved (Acts 4:12).
We declare healing over him now, in Jesus’ name. We speak life to every cell, every organ, and every system in his body. We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness, for Your love, and for the victory that is already ours through Christ Jesus. We will not lose heart, for though outwardly we may be wasting away, inwardly we are being renewed day by day (2 Corinthians 4:16). We trust You, Lord, and we wait expectantly for Your healing touch.
In the mighty, matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
