The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The depression, pain, and despair your husband is experiencing are not from the Lord, but we know that God can turn even the darkest valleys into testimonies of His power. The Scripture declares, *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3). We claim this promise over your husband’s life—his body, mind, and spirit. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Let Him lift your husband out of this pit of despair and set his feet upon the Rock of His salvation.
We also stand against the spirit of divorce that has been spoken over your marriage. The Lord hates divorce (Malachi 2:16), and we declare that what God has joined together, no man—or circumstance—shall separate. Your marriage is a covenant before God, and we pray for a supernatural renewal of love, commitment, and unity between you both. *"A cord of three strands is not quickly broken"* (Ecclesiastes 4:12), and we ask the Holy Spirit to weave Himself so tightly into your marriage that the enemy cannot tear it apart. Let your husband’s heart be turned back to you and to the Lord, and let the two of you be knit together in faith, attending church as a united front against the schemes of the devil.
It is clear that the constant consumption of news is feeding the despair in your husband’s heart. The world’s chaos is not the portion of God’s children. *"Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things"* (Philippians 4:8). We pray for a divine interruption—let the Holy Spirit convict your husband to turn off the news and fill his mind with the Word of God instead. *"Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path"* (Psalm 119:105). The truth of Scripture will renew his mind and bring peace that surpasses all understanding.
As for you, dear sister, we commend your desire to be supportive and patient. The Lord sees your heart, and He will give you the strength to endure. *"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law"* (Galatians 5:22-23). Lean on the Holy Spirit moment by moment, for He will empower you to respond with grace even when your own heart is breaking. Remember, *"Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails"* (1 Corinthians 13:7-8). Your love, rooted in Christ, is a powerful force for good in your husband’s life.
We also encourage you to speak life over your husband and your marriage. Proclaim the promises of God over him when he cannot see them for himself. *"Death and life are in the power of the tongue; those who love it will eat its fruit"* (Proverbs 18:21). Let your words be a balm of healing, not a reflection of the despair around you. Declare that your husband will live and not die (Psalm 118:17), that his joy will be restored (Psalm 51:12), and that your marriage will thrive for the glory of God.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious sister and her husband to You. We rebuke the spirits of infirmity, depression, and despair, and we command them to flee in the name of Jesus. Let Your peace, which transcends all understanding, guard his heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we stand against the spirit of divorce that has sought to invade this marriage. We declare that Your covenant over them is stronger than any word spoken in anger or despair. Soften their hearts toward one another, Lord. Renew their love, their commitment, and their faith. Let them remember the vows they made before You, and give them the strength to fight for their marriage together. Bind them together in unity, and let them attend church as one, worshipping You and finding strength in Your presence.
Father, we ask You to break the hold that the news and the world’s chaos have on her husband’s mind. Replace his anxiety with Your peace, his fear with Your faith, and his despair with Your hope. Draw him into Your Word, Lord, and let it be a lamp to his feet. Surround him with Your truth and let it set him free.
Strengthen this sister, Lord. Fill her with Your patience, Your love, and Your wisdom. Let her be a vessel of Your grace in her husband’s life. Give her the words to speak, the actions to take, and the endurance to stand firm in faith. Let her see herself through Your eyes—a woman of strength, dignity, and purpose, clothed in Your righteousness.
Holy Spirit, we invite You to move mightily in this situation. Intervene in ways only You can. Bring miracles, bring healing, bring restoration.
