We join you in praising the Lord and agreeing in prayer for God's will to be done in your situation. We are reminded of God's promise in Psalm 103:2-3, "Bless Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases."
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power of Jesus' name and praying in it. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. As the scripture says, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB
We stand with you in prayer for healing. We pray for complete restoration, not just physically, but also emotionally and spiritually. We are called to pray for one another, as stated in James 5:16, "Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."
Regarding the anger and depression, we remind you of Ephesians 4:26-27, "Be angry, and don't sin. Don't let the sun go down on your wrath, neither give place to the devil." It's important to acknowledge anger but not let it lead to sin. Encourage ### to seek godly counsel or support groups for help.
We also agree in praying for guidance to be supportive and patient. Colossians 3:12-13 says, "Put on therefore, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."
Lastly, we need to address the issue of watching the news and depression as a couple. It's important to seek God's word together and attend church regularly asking God for a hedge of protection around your faith as you walk together in life. The news is rarely positive and has a negative effect on our minds and spirits. As a Christian couple, we must focus on God's word. Psalm 1:1-2 says, "Blessed is the man who doesn't walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in Yahweh's law. On his law he meditates day and night."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother and sister in need. Lord, you are the great healer, and we ask for your healing touch upon their lives, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Give them strength and patience, and guide them to be supportive and loving towards one another. Help them to fix their eyes on you and not be swayed by news and happenings of this world. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you both to stay strong in faith and seek God's word daily. Consider reading uplifting books or listening to sermons together. Surround yourselves with positivity and God's presence.
