We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is carrying the weight of painful memories and deep trauma. Father God, we know that You see every tear, every moment of distress, and every burden this dear one has carried. You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We ask You, in the mighty name of Jesus, to bring healing to this mind and heart that have been so deeply affected by abuse and trauma.
Lord, Your Word tells us that You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in You (Isaiah 26:3). We pray that You would clear away the distressing memories that haunt this beloved child of Yours. Replace them with Your truth, Your love, and Your peace. Let the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We rebuke the lies of the enemy that seek to keep this one in bondage to fear, shame, and pain. In Jesus’ name, we command those chains to be broken, for it is written that whom the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36).
Father, we also ask that You would surround this dear one with Your presence in a tangible way. Let them feel Your love wrapping around them like a warm embrace, reminding them that they are not alone. You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We pray for godly counsel, support, and community to come alongside them—believers who will speak life, encouragement, and truth into their situation. May they find comfort in Your Word, which is a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105).
Lord, we know that healing is a journey, and we ask that You would give this one the strength and courage to take each step forward, trusting in You. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). We pray that as they draw near to You, You would draw near to them (James 4:8), filling them with Your hope and restoring their soul (Psalm 23:3).
We also lift up any areas where unforgiveness may be lingering, whether toward others or even toward themselves. Your Word tells us to forgive as we have been forgiven (Colossians 3:13), and we ask that You would soften this heart to release any bitterness or resentment. Let Your love flow freely, bringing freedom and wholeness.
Heavenly Father, we thank You that You are the God who makes all things new (Revelation 21:5). We trust You to bring beauty from these ashes, joy from this mourning, and praise instead of despair (Isaiah 61:3). Strengthen this dear one with Your might and fill them with the hope that only comes from You. May they come to know more deeply the truth that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), loved beyond measure, and redeemed by the blood of Jesus.
We pray all these things in the powerful, healing name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
