We lift you up before the throne of grace, dear one, with heavy hearts for the pain you carry from abuse and trauma. The Lord sees every wound, hears every silent cry, and collects every tear in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). You are not forgotten, nor are you defined by what was done to you. The enemy may have meant it for evil, but God can redeem it for your good and His glory (Genesis 50:20).
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who bore our griefs and carried our sorrows (Isaiah 53:4). We ask You to heal the broken places in this precious one’s mind and heart. Bring Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We rebuke the lies of the enemy that seek to keep them bound in fear, shame, or despair. Your Word declares that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We claim that truth over them now.
Lord, we ask You to bring to remembrance only what is necessary for healing and growth. Let Your Holy Spirit comfort them as only You can, reminding them that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Help them to release these burdens at the foot of the cross, where Jesus already paid the price for their freedom. May they find rest in You, for You have promised to give rest to the weary and burdened (Matthew 11:28).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment as they seek godly counsel—whether through biblical counseling, trusted believers, or professional help—to walk through this healing journey. Surround them with people who will speak life, truth, and encouragement into their situation. Let Your love be their anchor, and may they come to know more deeply how wide, how long, how high, and how deep Your love is for them (Ephesians 3:18).
Above all, we pray that they would draw nearer to You, Lord, for in Your presence is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11). May they experience Your healing touch in ways that only You can provide. We declare that the God of peace will soon crush Satan under their feet (Romans 16:20), and that they will walk in the freedom Christ died to give them.
In Jesus’ powerful name, we pray. Amen.
