We lift you up before the throne of grace, dear one, with hearts heavy for the pain you carry. The wounds of abuse and trauma are deep, and the memories that haunt you are not from the Lord, who came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free. We stand with you in agreement, declaring that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life—and have it abundantly. We rebuke every lie that tells you this pain defines you, that healing is impossible, or that you are alone in this battle. You are a child of the Most High God, and He has not forgotten you. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. He collects your tears in His bottle and records your sorrows in His book. You are seen, you are known, and you are deeply loved.
We pray that the Holy Spirit would minister to your mind, bringing clarity where there is confusion and light where there is darkness. May the Lord replace those distressing memories with His truth, reminding you of who you are in Him: redeemed, forgiven, and made new. The old has passed away; behold, all things have become new. We ask that the Comforter would wrap you in His presence, soothing the ache in your heart and filling you with a peace that defies circumstance.
Father, we ask that You would bring godly counsel and support into this dear one’s life—people who will speak life, pray with faith, and walk alongside them in this journey. Surround them with Your love in tangible ways, reminding them that they are never alone. We declare that the power of those traumatic memories is broken in the name of Jesus, and we speak healing over every emotional and mental wound. May Your perfect love cast out all fear, and may Your joy become their strength.
We also encourage you to meditate on Scripture that speaks to God’s healing and restoration. Psalm 34:18-19 says, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all."* And Isaiah 61:1-3 proclaims, *"The Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to provide for those who mourn in Zion, to give to them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified."*
You are not defined by your past. You are defined by the One who holds your future. Keep pressing into Him, even when it feels hard. His grace is sufficient for you, and His power is made perfect in weakness. We stand with you, believing that the God who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
Heavenly Father, we come before You now, lifting up this precious child of Yours. You know the depths of their pain, the weight of their sorrow, and the battles in their mind. We ask that You would move mightily on their behalf. Pour out Your healing balm upon their heart and mind. Silence the voices of the past with Your truth. Replace every lie with Your Word, every fear with Your peace, and every wound with Your love. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them. Strengthen them, Lord, and help them to rest in You. May they experience Your presence in a fresh and powerful way, knowing that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and healed. Amen.
