We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is carrying the weight of painful memories and deep trauma. Father God, we know that You see every tear, every moment of distress, and every burden this dear one has carried. We stand in the gap, asking for Your healing touch to wash over their mind and heart, bringing clarity where there is confusion and peace where there is turmoil.
The Word of God tells us in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Lord, we claim this promise over this beloved child of Yours. You are not distant or indifferent to their pain—You are near, ready to bind up their wounds and restore their soul. We also hold fast to Isaiah 61:1, where You declare, "The Lord Yahweh’s Spirit is on me, because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to those who are bound." Jesus, we ask that You fulfill this Scripture in their life, breaking every chain of trauma and setting them free in Your name.
Father, we rebuke the enemy’s lies that have taken root in their mind. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that they might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we command every spirit of fear, shame, and condemnation to flee in the mighty name of Jesus. We pray for Your truth to flood their mind, replacing every lie with the light of Your Word. Help them to meditate on what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8), casting down every imagination and high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God (2 Corinthians 10:5).
Lord, we also ask for Your peace to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Where there has been anxiety, bring Your perfect peace. Where there has been sorrow, bring Your comfort. Where there has been anger or bitterness, bring Your healing and forgiveness. Help them to release every burden to You, knowing that You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). We pray for the Holy Spirit to fill them with Your love, joy, and peace, so that they may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13).
We encourage this dear one to seek godly counsel and support from trusted believers who can walk alongside them in their healing journey. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and we pray that they would find safe, loving community to help them process their pain in a healthy way. We also encourage them to spend time in Your presence, Lord, through prayer, worship, and reading Your Word, for it is in Your presence that there is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11).
Finally, we declare that this one is not defined by their past. In Christ, they are a new creation—the old has passed away, and behold, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). We speak life, healing, and restoration over them, trusting that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and Your unfailing love. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6).
Heavenly Father, we lift up this prayer in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and healed. We believe that by His stripes, this one is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we receive that healing by faith. Thank You for Your mercy, Your grace, and Your love that never fails. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
