We lift you up before the throne of grace, dear one, with hearts heavy for the pain you carry from abuse and trauma. The weight of such memories can feel unbearable, but we stand with you in the truth that our God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He does not leave you to walk this path alone.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who bore our sorrows and carried our griefs (Isaiah 53:4). We ask You to heal the wounds of [this precious one’s] mind and heart. Lord, Your Word declares that You will wipe away every tear, and there will be no more death, mourning, crying, or pain (Revelation 21:4). We claim this promise over [their] life today. Bring Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard [their] heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We rebuke the lies of the enemy that seek to keep [them] bound in fear, shame, and despair. In Jesus’ name, we command every tormenting memory and spirit of oppression to flee. You, Lord, are the God who makes all things new (Revelation 21:5). Restore what has been stolen, and replace the pain with Your perfect peace. Fill [them] with the assurance that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We pray for the healing balm of Your Holy Spirit to minister to [their] soul. May [they] experience the comfort that only You can give, the comfort of knowing You see [their] pain and are working all things together for [their] good (Romans 8:28). Surround [them] with Your love, and let [them] feel Your presence in tangible ways. Strengthen [their] faith to trust in Your timing and Your ways, even when the path is unclear.
Lord, we also ask that You bring godly counsel and support into [their] life—believers who can walk alongside [them] with wisdom, compassion, and prayer. Help [them] to release bitterness or unforgiveness, for Your Word tells us to forgive as we have been forgiven (Colossians 3:13). Give [them] the grace to extend mercy, even as You have shown mercy to [them].
We declare that [they] are not defined by [their] past but by the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. You have called [them] by name, and [they] are Yours (Isaiah 43:1). May [they] walk in the freedom and wholeness that is [their] inheritance in Christ. Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the healing that is already at work in [their] life. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun (Philippians 1:6).
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
