We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who is suffering from acid reflux, digestive distress, and discomfort throughout their entire body. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who formed every part of us in our mother’s womb and knows every cell, every nerve, every fiber of our being. We declare Your Word over this situation: *"He himself took our infirmities and bore our diseases"* (Matthew 8:17). Lord, we stand in faith on this promise, believing that by the stripes of Jesus, healing has already been provided.
We rebuke every spirit of infirmity and sickness that has taken hold in this body. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life—and life more abundantly (John 10:10). We command every organ, tissue, and system in this body to align with the perfect design You intended. Stomach, esophagus, intestines, and every part of the digestive tract—be restored to full health and function in Jesus’ name. We speak healing to the crown of the head, to the brain, the eyes, the ears, the teeth, the throat, the lungs, the heart, the liver, the kidneys, the bones, the muscles, the skin, and the soles of the feet. Every cell, every nerve, every joint—be made whole.
We also lift up the emotional and spiritual aspects of this struggle. Physical pain can weigh heavily on the heart and mind. Lord, grant peace that surpasses all understanding to guard this one’s heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).
We encourage this dear one to seek godly wisdom in their diet and lifestyle, for the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). May they honor You with their choices, trusting that You will direct their steps. We also pray for discernment in seeking medical care, that they would find professionals who will partner with them in wisdom and faith.
Lord, we ask that You would strengthen their faith as they wait on You. Remind them that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28), even in the midst of this trial. May they experience Your presence in tangible ways—through Your Word, through worship, through the love of Your people. Let them know that they are not alone, for You are with them always (Matthew 28:20).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the name by which every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord (Philippians 2:9-11). It is through His blood, shed on the cross, that we have access to Your throne of grace, and it is by His authority that we stand and declare healing. We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer and for moving mightily on behalf of this one who is suffering. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in every aspect of this situation. Amen.
