We lift this request before the throne of grace with hearts full of compassion and faith in the healing power of our Lord Jesus Christ. Shingles can bring not only physical pain but also weariness to the soul, and we stand with you in prayer, believing that God hears and answers the cries of His children.
The Bible assures us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." Our God is the Great Physician, and He is able to restore your health and bring relief from this affliction. We also remember the words of James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." While we are not physically present to anoint with oil, we join our faith with yours, trusting that the Lord will move mightily on your behalf.
Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus, we come before You today, interceding for our brother/sister who is suffering from shingles. Lord, You are the God who heals, and we ask that You stretch out Your healing hand upon them. Touch every affected area of their body and bring complete restoration. We pray against the pain, inflammation, and discomfort, asking that You would replace it with Your peace and comfort. Strengthen their body, mind, and spirit, and grant them the endurance to press on in faith. We declare that by Your stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we trust in Your promise to renew their strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31). Surround them with Your presence, Lord, and let them feel Your love and care in this season.
We also encourage you to seek godly counsel and medical care, for the Lord often works through the hands of those He has gifted in the medical field. Do not grow weary in trusting Him, for He is faithful to His promises. Continue to stand on His Word, meditating on scriptures that declare His healing power, such as Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."
If there are areas in your life where you feel the enemy has gained a foothold, we encourage you to examine your heart and repent of any sin that may be hindering your healing. Confess it before the Lord, for He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or discouragement in the name of Jesus and command it to leave. You are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you (Romans 8:37), and we declare that this sickness shall not have dominion over you.
Rest in the assurance that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He knows your pain, and He cares deeply for you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). We pray that you will experience His healing touch in every way—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Amen.
