Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for me as I am jobless. I am also suffering from mental depression. Please pray for financial blessings in my life. I am looking for a suitable life partner and I am not getting one due to my medical condition. Please pray for me to God

We lift you up before the Lord with hearts full of compassion, knowing that He is your healer, provider, and perfect matchmaker in due time. Your struggles with mental sickness, depression, unemployment, and the longing for a godly spouse are not unseen by our Heavenly Father. He cares deeply for you, and His Word assures us that He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Let us first address the foundation of all our prayers—your relationship with Jesus Christ. Your request does not mention His name, and we must gently but firmly remind you that it is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to God’s throne of grace. The Scriptures declare, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today, for He alone is the source of true healing, peace, and provision. Repent of your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be your Lord and Savior. Without this, our prayers are empty, for it is only in His name that we can boldly approach God.

Now, let us speak to the specific burdens you carry. Mental sickness and depression are heavy weights, but they are not beyond the power of our God. The Bible tells us that Jesus bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Matthew 8:17). While medicine and therapy can be tools God uses, ultimate healing comes from Him. We encourage you to seek professional help if you haven’t already, but more importantly, to cling to the Lord in prayer and His Word. *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28, WEB). Cast your anxieties upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Depression often lies to us, whispering that there is no hope, but God’s Word declares that *"the joy of Yahweh is your strength"* (Nehemiah 8:10). Spend time in worship and Scripture, even when it feels difficult. Surround yourself with a community of believers who can pray with you and encourage you.

Your financial struggles are also before the Lord. He is Jehovah Jireh, your Provider. Jesus taught us not to worry about our needs, for our Heavenly Father knows what we require (Matthew 6:31-33). Seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and He will add what you need. This doesn’t mean passivity—continue to apply for jobs, steward your resources wisely, and trust God to open doors. Remember the words of Philippians 4:19: *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* We pray that God would grant you favor in the eyes of employers and provide a job that not only meets your financial needs but also allows you to glorify Him.

Regarding your desire for a life partner, we must speak with both truth and love. Marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God between one man and one woman, reflecting Christ’s relationship with His Church (Ephesians 5:31-32). If you are seeking a spouse, we encourage you to seek a *godly* spouse—a believer who is committed to Christ and will walk with you in faith. The Bible warns against being unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14), as this can lead to spiritual compromise and heartache. However, we must also address something critical: if your "medical condition" refers to mental illness, know that this does not disqualify you from God’s plan for marriage. But it *does* mean you must seek healing and stability in Christ first. A healthy marriage requires two whole individuals submitting to God. If you are struggling with mental sickness, it is wise to pursue healing and management of your condition before pursuing marriage, so that you can enter into it as a strong and stable partner. Trust in God’s timing. He knows your heart’s desires, and if marriage is His will for you, He will bring the right person at the right time. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4).

Lastly, we must gently ask: are you walking in obedience to God’s Word in all areas of your life? Sometimes unconfessed sin or disobedience can hinder our prayers (Psalm 66:18). Examine your heart and repent of anything that does not align with Scripture. This includes ensuring that your desire for a spouse is rooted in godly motives—not loneliness, fear, or worldly standards, but a desire to honor God in marriage.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Your child who is burdened by mental sickness, depression, financial lack, and the longing for a spouse. Lord, we ask first and foremost that if this beloved one has not yet surrendered fully to Jesus, You would draw them to Yourself today. Open their eyes to see their need for a Savior and grant them repentance and faith in Christ alone. Father, You are the Great Physician, and we ask for Your healing touch upon their mind and emotions. Drive out the darkness of depression and replace it with Your light and peace. Renew their mind by Your Word and fill them with the joy of Your salvation. Lord, we rebuked every spirit of heaviness, anxiety, and despair in Jesus’ name, and we declare that You are their strength and their song (Isaiah 12:2).

We pray for financial provision, Father. You own the cattle on a thousand hills, and nothing is too hard for You. Open doors of employment that align with Your will. Provide not just enough, but abundantly, so that this dear one may experience Your faithfulness and generosity. Teach them to trust in You and not in their own understanding, leaning on You in every step.

Regarding their desire for a spouse, Lord, we ask that You prepare them for marriage if it is Your will. Heal them completely, Lord—mind, body, and spirit—so that they may enter into marriage as a whole and healthy individual. Guard their heart from impatience or compromise. If marriage is Your plan, bring a godly spouse who loves You above all else, who will cherish and honor them as Christ loves the Church. But if Your will is for them to remain single, grant them contentment and purpose in You, knowing that singleness is a gift (1 Corinthians 7:7). Help them to seek You first in all things.

Father, we bind every lie of the enemy that says they are unworthy, unloved, or beyond hope. Your Word says they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and we declare that truth over them now. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, comfort them with Your presence, and surround them with believers who will uplift and encourage them.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your good plans for this precious life. May they walk in victory, peace, and faith, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We're right here with you, dear friend, standing in the gap and lifting you up to our Heavenly Father. We've been where you are, feeling the weight of mental illness, depression, and the struggle to find a life partner. But we've also seen God's faithfulness in the midst of it all, and we want you to know that He is with you, every step of the way.

First, let's remind ourselves of the power of Jesus' name. In John 14:13-14, Jesus tells us, "Whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it." So, let's ask boldly, knowing that our God is a good Father who loves to give good gifts to His children (Matthew 7:11).

Now, let's address your burdens. Mental sickness and depression are real, and they're not something you have to bear alone. Jesus bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Matthew 8:17). He's been where you are, and He understands. So, let's cry out to Him together. "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Cast your anxieties upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

Remember, depression often lies to us, telling us there's no hope. But God's Word tells us, "The joy of the Lord is your strength" (Nehemiah 8:10). Even when it feels impossible, keep worshipping and keep seeking Him. Surround yourself with a community of believers who can pray with you and encourage you.

Financial struggles are also heavy, but our God is Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. Jesus told us not to worry about our needs, but to seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness (Matthew 6:31-33). Trust Him to supply your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

Lastly, regarding your desire for a life partner, remember that God's timing is perfect. If marriage is His will for you, He will bring the right person at the right time. But for now, focus on getting well and growing in Him. Trust that He sees your heart's desire and that He has a plan for you.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, laying down our dear sister's burdens at Your feet. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch on her mind and emotions. Drive out the darkness of depression and fill her with Your light and peace. Lord, we ask for financial provision. Open doors of employment that align with Your will. Teach her to trust in You and not in her own understanding.

Regarding her desire for a spouse, Lord, we ask that You would prepare her for marriage if it is Your will. Heal her completely, Lord - mind, body, and spirit - so that she may enter into marriage as a whole and healthy individual. Guard her heart from impatience or compromise. If marriage is Your plan, bring a godly spouse who loves You above all else, who will cherish and honor her as Christ loves the Church. But if Your will is for her to remain single, grant her contentment and purpose in You, knowing that singleness is a gift.

Father, we bind every lie of the enemy that says she is unworthy, unloved, or beyond hope. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, comfort her with Your presence, and surround her with believers who will uplift and encourage her.

In Jesus' mighty and holy name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Sorry this isn't a prayer request but wondered whether any of you or do you know of anyone who God has healed from severe mental illness without medicine? I have many very painful physical illnesses but the mental illness is even harder to live with. I can't bear the thought of many months...
