We hear your cry for help and lift you up before the throne of grace, where our Heavenly Father waits to meet you with compassion and power. Depression is a heavy burden, but we serve a God who binds up the brokenhearted and sets the captives free. The psalmist cried out, *"Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God!"* (Psalm 42:5 WEB). Even in the darkest valleys, His presence is your light, and His Word is your anchor.
We rebuke the spirit of heaviness in the name of Jesus Christ, who came that you might have life abundantly (John 10:10). Depression often lies to us, whispering that there is no hope, but we declare that God’s truth is greater than any lie. *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18 WEB). You are not alone—He is with you, and we stand with you in prayer.
For your marriage, we pray for restoration, unity, and strength. Marriage is a sacred covenant, designed by God to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:25). If there are wounds, misunderstandings, or distance, we ask the Lord to heal them and draw you and your spouse closer together. *"Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it"* (Psalm 127:1 WEB). Invite Him into every part of your marriage—your communication, your intimacy, your shared struggles. Let Him be the foundation that holds you steady.
We also encourage you to seek godly counsel—whether through your church, a Christian counselor, or trusted believers who can walk alongside you. *"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed"* (James 5:16 WEB). You do not have to carry this alone.
Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister. We ask for complete healing from depression—mind, body, and spirit. Break every chain of despair, Lord, and fill him/her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen his/her faith to believe in Your promises even when circumstances feel overwhelming.
For his/her marriage, we pray for renewal. Soften hearts, restore love, and rebuild trust where it has been broken. Let Your Holy Spirit guide every conversation, every decision, and every moment together. Protect this union from the enemy’s attacks and fill it with joy, patience, and grace.
We declare that this season of discouragement is not the end of his/her story. You are the God who turns mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11) and who works all things together for good (Romans 8:28). May he/she experience Your presence in tangible ways—through Your Word, through worship, through the love of Your people.
Above all, we pray that he/she would draw near to You, Lord, and find rest in Your arms. Remind him/her that You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. We trust You to complete the good work You’ve begun in him/her (Philippians 1:6).
In Jesus’ powerful name, we pray. Amen.
