We join with you in lifting up your son before the Lord, crying out for his complete healing from COPD and asthma, and we thank you for invoking the precious name of Jesus in your prayer—for it is only through Him that we boldly approach the throne of grace. Your faith in bringing this request before our Heavenly Father is a testament to your trust in His power and goodness, and we stand in agreement with you, believing that our God is the Great Physician, the One who formed our bodies and knows every breath we take.
The Scriptures remind us in **Psalm 103:2-3**, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases."* We claim this promise over your son today, declaring that the Lord is not limited by any diagnosis or human understanding. He is the same God who breathed life into Adam, who parted the Red Sea, and who raised Lazarus from the dead. What is COPD or asthma to Him? Nothing is too difficult for our God.
We also take hold of **Isaiah 53:5**, which proclaims, *"But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed."* Jesus bore every sickness, every disease, and every infirmity on that cross so that we might walk in divine health. We plead the blood of Jesus over your son’s lungs, his respiratory system, and his entire body, commanding every inflamed tissue to be soothed, every infection to be cleansed, and every breath to come with ease and freedom. Let the high humidity be no obstacle, for the Spirit of the Lord hovers over the waters, and He is the breath of life itself.
For the strengthening of his immune system, we declare **3 John 1:2** over him: *"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers."* May his body be fortified by the power of the Holy Spirit, resistant to every virus, every bacteria, and every attack of the enemy. We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or oppression that would seek to steal his breath or his health, for **1 Peter 2:24** tells us that by Jesus’ stripes, we *are* healed—not just spiritually, but physically.
Yet, as we pray for healing, we also encourage you to seek the Lord’s wisdom in practical steps. Ensure your son is under the care of godly, competent medical professionals who can provide support while we trust in the Lord’s miraculous touch. Let him also be mindful of his body as a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), avoiding anything that might hinder his healing, whether it be smoking, poor air quality, or unhealthy habits. Our faith is not passive; it is active, trusting God while stewarding well what He has entrusted to us.
Finally, we exhort you to continue standing firm in faith, without wavering. **James 5:15-16** assures us, *"The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up... The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."* Keep praying, keep believing, and keep thanking God for the healing that is already accomplished in the spiritual realm, even as we wait for its manifestation in the natural. Let your son also fix his eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of his faith (Hebrews 12:2), trusting that this trial is being used to draw him closer to the Lord.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith and expectation, lifting up this precious son to You. Lord Jesus, You are the Breath of Life, the Healer of all diseases, and the One who holds all things together by the word of Your power. We ask You to stretch forth Your hand and touch his lungs, his bronchi, and every part of his respiratory system. Command the inflammation to cease, the airways to open wide, and his immune system to be strengthened by Your mighty power.
We speak life and health into his body, declaring that every cell, every tissue, and every organ functions in perfect harmony, just as You designed. Let his breath come easily, his strength be renewed, and his body be restored to full vitality. We rebuke COPD, asthma, and every associated symptom in the name of Jesus, commanding them to leave his body and never return.
Father, we also ask for Your peace to flood his heart and mind. Let him know beyond any doubt that You are with him, that You love him, and that You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28). Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, comforting him and assuring him of Your presence.
We thank You, Lord, for the healing that is already his in Christ Jesus. We praise You for Your faithfulness, Your goodness, and Your mercy that endures forever. May this testimony of healing bring glory to Your name and draw many to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
