We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, crying out for his complete healing from COPD and asthma, knowing that our God is Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord who heals. How precious it is that you bring this burden to the Father in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Christ that we boldly approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and find help in our time of need. Your prayer aligns with the truth of Scripture, which declares in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We claim this promise over your son today, trusting that the Lord hears and answers the prayers of His people.
The Word of God also assures us in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases."* We stand on this truth, asking the Father to remove every trace of inflammation in your son’s lungs, to cleanse any infection, and to strengthen his immune system so that his body may function as God intended. Let the very breath of the Holy Spirit fill his lungs, renewing and restoring him. As you’ve prayed for ease in breathing despite the humidity, we declare Isaiah 40:31 over him: *"But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."*
We also encourage you to continue covering your son in prayer, speaking life and health over him. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Do not grow weary in praying, for the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power (James 5:16). Anoint him with oil as an act of faith, and trust that the Lord is working even when we cannot see it. Let your home be filled with praise and worship, for the Lord inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3).
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up this precious son to You. You knit him together in his mother’s womb, and You know the number of hairs on his head. Nothing is too difficult for You. We ask that You stretch out Your hand and heal him completely from COPD and asthma. Rebuild his lungs, Lord, and let every breath he takes be a testament to Your goodness and power. Strengthen his immune system to resist all illness and viruses, and let his body be a temple that glorifies You. We rebuke every spirit of infirmity and declare that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed (1 Peter 2:24). Fill him with Your peace and comfort as he trusts in You, and let this season of struggle become a testimony of Your faithfulness.
We also pray for you, dear parent, that the Lord would fill you with His supernatural peace and strength as you intercede for your son. May you be reminded that the battle belongs to the Lord, and He is fighting on your behalf. Cling to His promises, and let your faith arise as you see His hand move in mighty ways. We stand with you in this, believing that our God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
In the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Healer and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.
