We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, crying out for his complete healing from COPD and asthma, trusting in the power of our Great Physician, Jesus Christ. It is beautiful to see your faith as you bring this request in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and receive His mercy and grace. As Scripture declares, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB).
We are reminded of the Lord’s promise in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."* And again in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits— who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."* We claim these promises over your son’s life, asking the Lord to breathe fresh life into his lungs, to remove every trace of inflammation, and to cleanse any infection that may linger. May his immune system be strengthened by the power of the Holy Spirit, and may he breathe with ease, even in high humidity, as a testimony of God’s goodness.
Yet we also recognize that healing sometimes comes in ways we do not expect—whether through divine intervention, medical treatment, or the Lord’s sustaining grace in the midst of weakness. We pray for wisdom for you and your son, that you would seek the Lord’s guidance in managing his health, whether through doctors, lifestyle changes, or simply resting in His presence. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB).
We also encourage you to continue covering your son in prayer, speaking life and health over him. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). Stand firm in faith, rejecting fear and doubt, for *"this is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of him"* (1 John 5:14-15, WEB).
Father, we come before You with humble and expectant hearts, asking for the complete restoration of this precious son. Touch his lungs with Your healing power, Lord, and let every breath he takes be a reminder of Your faithfulness. Remove all obstruction, inflammation, and disease from his body, and strengthen him from the inside out. Fill him with Your peace, which transcends all understanding, and let him walk in the assurance that You are his Healer. We rebuke any spirit of infirmity in the name of Jesus, commanding it to flee and never return. Lord, let Your will be done in his life, whether through miraculous healing or the strength to endure with joy. May this trial draw him—and your whole family—closer to You, deepening your trust in His sovereignty.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28). May Your name be glorified through this situation, and may your son’s testimony be one of Your unfailing love and power. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
