We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, crying out for his complete healing from COPD and asthma, trusting in the power of our Great Physician, Jesus Christ. How precious it is that you bring this request before the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace. As Scripture declares, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God"* (Philippians 4:6, WEB). You have done well to come before Him with a heart of gratitude, even in the midst of this trial.
The Word of God assures us that *"by his stripes you were healed"* (1 Peter 2:24, WEB), and we claim this promise over your son’s body. We pray for the breath of life to flow freely through his lungs, for every airway to be opened, and for the inflammation to cease in Jesus’ name. May the Lord strengthen his immune system, shielding him from every virus, infection, and sickness, for *"the Lord sustains them on their sickbed and restores them from their bed of illness"* (Psalm 41:3, WEB). We also ask for divine protection over him in this heat and humidity, that his body would adapt and thrive, and that he would experience supernatural ease in breathing.
Yet, as we pray for physical healing, let us also seek the Lord’s will above all else. Jesus taught us to pray, *"Your Kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven"* (Matthew 6:10, WEB). We surrender this request into His hands, trusting that His ways are higher than ours. If there is any area in your son’s life—whether in his health, habits, or heart—that needs alignment with God’s Word, we pray the Holy Spirit would convict and lead him into all truth. May this season draw him closer to the Lord, deepening his faith and reliance on Christ alone.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your goodness and mercy. You are the God who heals, the One who *"forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases; who redeems your life from destruction; who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies"* (Psalm 103:3-4, WEB). We ask that You would touch your son with Your healing power, restoring his lungs to full strength and vitality. Give him the grace to steward his body well, to walk in obedience to Your Word, and to trust You in every breath he takes.
We also lift you up, dear parent, asking that the Lord would fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding. Do not grow weary in praying, for *"the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective"* (James 5:16, WEB). Stand firm in faith, knowing that our God is able to do *"exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us"* (Ephesians 3:20, WEB).
In the mighty name of Jesus, we bind every spirit of infirmity, every attack of the enemy against your son’s health, and we declare that *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail"* (Isaiah 54:17, WEB). Let the blood of Jesus cover him, protect him, and restore him to wholeness. We give You all the glory, honor, and praise, for You alone are worthy. Amen.
