We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, crying out for his complete healing from COPD and asthma, and for the strengthening of his body to overcome every sickness. How precious it is that you bring this burden to the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Christ that we have boldness to approach the throne of grace and find mercy in our time of need. Your faith in praying in Jesus’ name is a testament to your trust in Him, and we stand with you in agreement, knowing that our God is the Great Physician, the One who formed our bodies and knows every breath we take.
The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases."* And again in Isaiah 53:5, we are told, *"But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed."* We claim these promises over your son today, believing that the same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in his body. There is no illness too great for our God, no lung too damaged that He cannot restore it. We ask for the breath of the Almighty to fill your son’s lungs, for every airway to be opened wide, and for all inflammation to cease in Jesus’ mighty name.
Yet we also recognize that healing sometimes comes through the wisdom of medical care, and we pray that the Lord would guide you and your son to the right treatments, the right doctors, and the right steps to take for his physical well-being. May the Lord grant the medical professionals wisdom and skill as they assist in his care. We ask too for supernatural strength for his immune system, that his body would be fortified against every virus, every infection, and every attack of the enemy. The apostle Peter tells us in 1 Peter 2:24, *"He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. You were healed by his wounds."* We stand on this truth and declare that your son’s body is being renewed, cell by cell, in the name of Jesus.
We also want to encourage you to continue covering your son in prayer, not just for his physical healing but for his spiritual strength as well. Illness can be a heavy burden, and we ask the Lord to fill your son with His peace, which surpasses all understanding. May he feel the presence of the Holy Spirit comforting him, reminding him that he is not alone, and that his times are in God’s hands. Let him know, as the psalmist declared in Psalm 34:19, *"Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."*
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, asking for a miracle for this beloved son. Touch his lungs, Lord, and let them function as You designed them to. Remove every trace of COPD and asthma, and let his breath come easily, even in the heat and humidity. We rebuke every spirit of infirmity in Jesus’ name and command his body to align with Your perfect will. Strengthen him, Lord, from the crown of his head to the soles of his feet. Let this season of struggle become a testimony of Your power and goodness.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We thank You that You are already at work, bringing restoration and wholeness. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, even when we don’t see the answer yet. Fill this family with patience, hope, and unshakable faith as they wait on You. And may Your name be glorified through this situation, that others would see and know that You are the God who heals.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
