We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, crying out for his complete healing from COPD and asthma, trusting in the power of our Great Physician, Jesus Christ. How precious it is that you bring this request in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we boldly approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and find help in our time of need. Your faith in calling upon the name of Jesus is a testament to your trust in His authority and love, and we stand with you in this.
The Scriptures remind us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We claim this promise over your son today, believing that the Lord will restore his lungs, remove all inflammation, and cleanse every infection. Let us also remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 19:26, *"With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."* Our God is not limited by any disease or condition—He is the God of miracles, and we trust Him to bring healing and renewal to your son’s body.
We also pray for the strengthening of his immune system, that the Lord would knit his body together in perfect health, enabling him to breathe freely even in the heat and humidity. Psalm 139:13-14 declares, *"For you formed my inwards. You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well."* We thank God for the intricate way He has designed your son’s body, and we ask Him to restore it to full vitality and function. May his lungs be filled with the breath of life, unhindered by disease, and may his body be a temple that glorifies God.
At the same time, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord’s wisdom in how to care for your son’s physical health. This may include consulting godly medical professionals, ensuring he is following a lifestyle that honors the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and trusting in the Lord’s provision for every need. Let us not grow weary in prayer, but persistently bring this request before the Lord, just as the persistent widow in Luke 18:1-8, who did not give up until she received justice. Our Heavenly Father hears our cries, and He is faithful.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today with hearts full of faith, lifting up this precious son to You. Lord Jesus, You bore our infirmities and carried our diseases on the cross (Isaiah 53:4-5), and we claim that victory over COPD and asthma in his life. By Your stripes, he is healed. We ask You to touch his lungs with Your healing power, removing every trace of inflammation, infection, and disease. Restore his breathing to perfect ease, even in the heat and humidity, and strengthen his immune system to fight off all illness. Fill his body with Your supernatural health and vitality, that he may live a life that testifies to Your goodness and grace.
Lord, we also pray for wisdom for his parents and caregivers, that they would be guided in every decision regarding his health. Give them discernment to know the right steps to take, and surround them with godly counsel and support. May this trial draw their family closer to You, deepening their trust in Your sovereignty and love.
We rebuke every spirit of sickness and infirmity in the name of Jesus, commanding it to leave this young man’s body. Satan, you have no authority here—Jesus has already won the victory, and we stand firm in that truth. Father, let Your healing power flow through him, renewing every cell and restoring him to complete wholeness. We thank You, Lord, for what You are doing, and we give You all the glory and honor.
Finally, Father, we ask that You would use this situation to bring Your name glory. Whether through miraculous healing or sustained strength, may Your power be evident in his life, drawing others to You. We pray all of this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
