We join you in lifting up your son's health and well-being before Our Heavenly Father, trusting in the power of prayer and the name of Jesus Christ.
Firstly, let us remember that God's will is for our healing and health. As it is written, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."
Our Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your healing touch upon this dear son. You know his struggles with COPD and asthma, and we ask for Your divine intervention. "He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was on him; and with his stripes we are healed" WEB.
We pray for his immune system, that You would strengthen it to fight off all illnesses and viruses. Help him to breathe easily, especially in this heat and humidity. Give him comfort and relief.
We also pray for his faith to be strengthened, for You to give him peace and hope in this trial. "Let him know that You are God, his God, in his every situation.
"The Lord will strengthen him on his bed of pain. You will sustain him on his sickbed, in his illness, You will fully restore him to health. For I said, Lord, be merciful to him; heal him, for he has sinned against you."
We must remember that God's will is for our healing, but it is important to focus on Him who created us and to seek Him in our lives. "For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;" WEB. We need to come to God in the only name that we can be saved in or by and that is the name of Jesus Christ. And, it is in him that we have access to our Father in heaven.
"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," WEB.
Finally, be sure that your son is in a right relationship with God. That he has asked God for forgiveness of his sins and put his faith in Jesus Christ.
Together, we stand in faith, believing for your son's healing and restoration, in Jesus' name.
In this trial, let us encourage your son and each other with these words: "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget none of his benefits; who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases; who redeems your life from destruction; who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies; who satisfies your desire with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's." WEB.
